Only posting this so others can just be wary. I was referred to HJ Dental when I moved to Dallas by my friend and liked Dr. J and the staff on my first visit. They did give me a Starbucks gift card to write them a Google review which was a little odd and aggressively insisted I get x-rays (which is typical for a new dentist I guess, I came back a few weeks later to do those). I had my next cleaning 6 months later but Dr. J was out on vacation and they had a visiting dentist (forgot her name, but they said she used to work for the practice for years and still substitutes in). She and the dental hygienist were adamant that I had a new cavity, even though nothing was amiss on my last x-rays 5 months ago. The dentist told me she could fill the cavity immediately, like right this second, and they shoved some paperwork toward me for me to sign.
I have never had a cavity in my life and thought this was really weird I had this new “cavity” and they wanted to fill it and for me to pay immediately. I pushed them off and spoke with a dentist friend in a different state who told me to call different periodontists and endodontists in the area to get dentist referrals of who they think does good work.
I found Dallas Esthetics and got a second opinion about 1.5 months later, with new x-rays. No cavities at all. I’ve been in 6 months later for another cleaning and x-rays and all good.
Again everyone at this practice is very nice but just be wary they seem a little money hungry and not really actual tooth-health focused.

Dr. Neeley has been treating me for ear pain for the past year, on and off. He is amazing at zeroing in on the source of pain and then determining how best to treat it. I am finally free from pain, and I am so thankful to find Dr. Neeley and his staff!

I had gone to HJ dental (formerly Neeley Dental) for a couple years and had great treatment until my last appointment in May 2022. My jaw locked closed in May 2022 and I could only open my mouth more than 2 fingers width. I was on a liquid diet because I could not open my mouth wide enough to eat and the pain was horrid. When I went in for an exam Dr. J came in for only a couple moments and seemed in a rush. I explained the problems and she brushed it off and said that some people just have to live with that. She offered no other options to help.
Once I left, I called Texas TMJ and Dr. Virk got me in as an emergency appointment within 30 mins. He examined my jaw, took X-rays, and came up with a treatment plan that helped my jaw unlock. My issue was caused by a slipped disc that was blocking my jaw from opening. I had to go to PT for a month, take pain meds and muscle relaxers, and had a custom night guard made. If I had not received treatment, they stated some people’s jaws will never fully unlock.
If you suspect you have TMJ, I do not recommend going to this dentist. Had I not sought treatment elsewhere, I may still have limited jaw opening. Since I had gone here for so long, it was very disappointing treatment.

I have had 2 of my best cleanings ever with Desiree who is so kind, a good listener and a total professional. Dr. Jamaleddine just has a special quality and I have never felt as comfortable with my dentist as I do with her. If you are reluctant or nervous about going to the dentist, this is your place.
