1st impressions/lasting: Was finally able to come in after suffering with a large abscess since Dec 2019 at the Monarch Lemmon Ave location, they perfirmed xrays and i was told that I needed to pay an extra $35 later and to set an appointment with a specialist. But that he travels from different dental clinics and that they would call and set an appointment for me the following week. It's now been two weeks and no contact has been made from them regarding such. It's not good business to have only one dental specialist on staff, and a refund would be appreciated.

I definitely recommend this office. The staff was very welcoming! Dr. Goel is amazing. Jessica the hygienist comforted me as she explained things step by step, and her assistant Adela was very professional and knowledgeable as well.

Usually going to the dentist is dull and very unpleasant. However, this office is so warm and welcoming that it was actually really fun going and talking to all the wonderful staff.
They all made me feel comfortable and relaxed!

As a new patient I was not impressed by this office for a few reasons:
- Old office
- Only 1 Dentist on staff, and she didn't even introduce herself. Work oriented (which is great) but not very good bedside manner
- I was told there is only 1 dental hygienist (makes it extremely difficult to schedule cleanings) and she wasn't even there
- Old equipment
- Price for care is expensive. Even having insurance the cost for a cleaning was phenomenally high.
- Seems money oriented. They did not inform me that my insurance covered 2 FREE cleanings per year. Instead they were going to charge over $200 for a deep cleaning that I was going to have to come back for and $800 per crown, for which I was told I would need 1 for sure and possibly 2.

After getting a 2nd opinion from a Dentist that has 30+ years of experience and a 2nd set of Xrays, NO work was needed on my teeth (no cavities, crowns or deep cleaning was needed like Monarch had previously informed me).

All about the money here, very corporate.

I would not recommend this dental office.

Avoid at all costs. Came in with no pain, 10 short visits later I am in extreme pain and down $1,700.
This was the worst medical/dental experience I have ever had. Similar to others, I now believe this place is a scam. I had the same “we can’t do your cleaning now because you need a deep clean, that costs way more”. I did it and they decided I needed to take out a filling and put in a full cap. Not being an expert I assumed they knew better than I so I went forward with a $1,700 procedure. I had to go back three times for them to get the right impression. Each visit they shaved off more and more and more of my tooth and even off the opposing tooth. I stopped them the third time and asked why. He couldn’t offer me a clear explanation other than “fit” and said he was very far from the nerves so there would be no issues. Sure enough, when the anesthetic wore off he had in fact worked my tooth down enough that the nerve is exposed and now a cap will not work, I need a full root canal and need to remove the tooth. That’s right. No pain and a tiny filling turned into a root canal because they kept sawing my tooth down to make the cap fit. Additionally, it is the filthiest medical office I have ever seen. They put plastic sheaths over a lot of the equipment that are meant to be thrown out after each patient but they leave them on continuously. To cap it all off they constantly changed my appointment time on me. I try to go early or late to avoid taking too much time from work. They would call every time and ask if I could come in earlier or later because the dentist had an emergency. The one time I didn’t have a chance to call them back I got there (10 minutes early) and the dentist LEFT! They called him and he was just pulling out of the parking lot so he came back. He had no emergency, he just didn’t want to stay late. 0/10 rating.

Went to Monarch a few years back. Had a tooth break and opted for an extraction only to learn the Dentist didn't remove the root of the tooth! I called requesting my records per the direction of a competent dentist trying to correct the mistakes this place has made in my mouth. I was told they didn't have my records in the building and it was in storage if not destroyed.

The Monarch Dental, located on Lemmon Avenue in Dallas, ranks in my books as one of the top dental spots I have been to. As soon as I walked in, the front staff greeted me warmly, and I filled out my necessary paperwork. I have been to offices where the receptionists are cold, but they are always professional and ready to answer any questions. After I had been completely checked in, I got my dental x-rays almost immediately. The technician took my scans efficiently, making sure I was not biting down on the dental piece for unnecessary long time. I appreciate this because I have had experiences where the technician is juggling several tasks at once, and therefore, I get left with an irritating sharp plastic piece in my mouth for longer than needed. Afterwards, he sat me down in the room. The patient room I was in was clean, and he was super transparent with me when the hygenist and doctor would be in. The hygenist, in accordance to the other staff, was so kind. She also was able to check on my teeth in an efficient matter, making sure not to waste my time. I have been to dentists who were frauds that claimed that I have has cavities, only to get a second opinion to say that I had no cavities instead small fillings needed to be done. Regardless, the hygenist and dentist were very transparent with their check up, informing me exactly what I needed and did not need. Overall, I would recommend this office, as they achieved excellent patient care.

At the Lemmon @ Oak Lawn Monarch location the dentist isn’t pleasant to engage and she comes off cold and stoic. However the hygenist Jessica M. more than made up for it with her own warm and inviting personality. Jessica exhibited professionalism and was gentle and thorough throughout my procedure. This was my 2nd cleaning with her and she made it easy so I appreciate her and think she’s an asset to the team. The actual Dentist lady not so much which is why I gave an 8 rating. I give Jessica a 12 though!

I so wish I had read these reviews before they destroyed my teeth. I went in because I thought my bite was becoming misaligned. The dentist told me he thought it might be nighttime grinding and that they could have me fitted for a $1500 night guard. He also said that he had found two cavities and that I had a metal filling that should be replaced with a crown. Not knowing what the crown was and assuming it was similar to a filling, I said okay, let's do it. At no point did anyone explain the procedure to me and I only figured it out when they had drilled away half of a perfect healthy tooth (except for the filling). I left the office crying and when I got home I researched it to discover that there is absolutely nothing wrong with metal fillings and that I could have gone for years or maybe even the rest of my life with it.

One month later, the crown is painful when I bit down on it, my bite still feels off and my other teeth have become sensitive too. I'm going to have to go to another dentist to fix it because I will never let these horrible people near me again.

Also, after all of that, I received a letter from my dental insurance letting me know that the procedure wasn't covered...they hadn't bothered to clear it beforehand.
