I've been gone to Village family dental for a couple of teeth cleanings. I experience has been great. The level of care and attentiveness is top notch. One thing that I really like is how the hygienist not just cleans your teeth, but actually shows you and has you apply some of the dental flossing and brushing opportunities to improve upon, so that I can limit any issues further down the line.

I love my dentist and everyone who works there. They work confidently and calmly to insure the patient is comfortable. I can't say enough about my hygienist. She was so competent until the first time I worked with her, I actually thought that she was the dentist. I enjoy each visit. I get reminders by text and phone calls to remind me ahead of time when my next appointment will be. I look forward to my pain free visits every six weeks.

I've been taking my children here for as long as I've lived here in the DFW area and I can honestly say from the office crew to the quality of work----THIS DENTIST IS THE PLACE YOU WANT TO GO TO! Dr Hong is the sweetest and the kids LOVE him. I even had to pay for some work out of pocket and the payment plans were amazing and affordable! Best decision I made to make him my dentist!

But today was a little different..I went in for a 6 month visit at 5pm (loved the fact that they offered late appointments)
I was seen right away, however NO X-RAYS! (1st red flag) the doctor came in poked around maybe 3mins asked if I had X-rays and decided to use the ones from my last visit 6months ago (2nd red flag). During the cleaning we discussed oral hygiene…but the hygienist didn’t even bother flossing after brushing my teeth when she 100% assured me she was going to clean, floss and then we’d be finished.
Flossing may not seem like a big deal, but if it’s part of my oral care routine I’d like to receive ALL SERVICES!
Typically you get a cleaning, and then the doctor does his exam…the doctor said his goodbyes to the staff before my cleaning started. So I’m assuming my hygienist was also ready to leave as well!
The visit was completely rushed and I probably brush better at home. Unfortunately—I won’t be returning here. I didn’t even receive a treatment plan…they just said everything’s the same as last time! I can’t wait to view the EOB from my carrier. I’ll just take the extra 10min drive, and time off work to go back to my old provider.

The main reason I chose Village Family Dental was due to the outstanding reviews. I thought no business could be that good! But when I left this afternoon on February 15, 2022, I was convinced the reviews were correct. Myra took the X-rays and preliminary inspection. She was soft spoken, gentle, and concerned about my comfort. Next, Dr Hung came in for his examination. He introduced himself as “Dr. Paul”. That set my mind at ease. He acted as though he had all the time in the world to answer my questions, and he reviewed his recommendations. Finally, Liz went over line by line the cost and made sure I understood each detail. I left the office very satisfied with the treatment plan I needed. For me to say I look forward to the next dentist appointment sounds ridiculous. But I’m finally ready to take the next step for my oral health thanks to Village Family Dental.
