Tymes Square Dental Emergency & Family Dentistry

This place has been through so many management changes it's ridiculous. I've still stuck with them for over 5yrs (my fault!). All the various doctors offered varying level of quality care. Some didn't do the filling right but the next doctor acknowledged and fixed it for free. The wonderful, Dr Caldwell, has left to start his own practice.
However, recently I'm being billed for things my insurance covers 100%. Things that are part of regular 6m visits!! Numerous calls only to be directed to billing which no one answers!
Billing department is a third party that no one can get in contact with! Horrible experience with the current management! Taking myself elsewhere and so should you if you want quality care!

The front staff was so nice and kind. The dental hygienist was awesome too. She explained everything she was going to do and prepared me anytime she was going to do something that could be uncomfortable. The dentist that did my work up and pulled my 4 wisdom teeth was awesome. Very kind and walked me through every step. Everyone was so professional,fast, and efficient. If I could give them extra stars on patient care and service I would.

I want to retract my review. Over a year later they are just now trying to bill me for the procedure I had done here (teeth extraction) which my insurance covered “100% but apparently didn’t cover it all. Now the office is trying to send me mails (not a bill) stating I owe them money. I have called several times and after sending an email someone finally called me back and Maria told me “I’ve listened to what you have said and I am trying to help you, I can’t do anything about this bill since your insurance did not cover it 100% they have disclaimers and sometimes this happens you have to pay the difference. And the 100% is why we only quoted you the $50 copay. If you don’t pay it we will send this to collections”. It has been over a year since this procedure was done (4 teeth extractions. was not put to sleep, less than an hour in the office and then sent home) and now my insurance won’t/can’t review because it has been too long since the claim happened. 1 star for terrible customer service and billing.

Update * not happy at all with all their changes. They did a crown for me awhile back. Never felt right. Now they say it has a gap & needs to be fixed. Well their mistake but I still have to pay for it. No thank you. Going to find a new dentist. They can't do it right the 1st time, I am not going to do that again!
Been going here for years. Dentists & hygienist are good. No problem there. The problem is whatever system update or computer system they have now. I received text to confirm & did so. Show up & they don't have an appointment for me. Lucky I am retired, because otherwise would've been really angry about taking a day off & being told that! My husband didn't get a text for his, called the day of his to make sure. "Oh yes you had one, but since he didn't confirm it has to be rescheduled". Now mind you, been going here for years & his cell is where he always gets his reminders. They read back a phone # that wasn't his cell. Not happy with that. He made another appointment for next month. Let's see how that goes.

Not a great experience. I visited for the first time 6 months back for regular cleaning and checkup. I was asked to get 2 filling done. After the filling, I still could feel the material sticking out of teeth from one of the filling. It wasn't blended properly. Few days back, the filling came off while eating. Its my front teeth (teeth 8). I need to make sure its taken care properly as I dont want to lose it and get a crown over it. If the filling was properly done the first time, I could have avoided going thru the procedure again. Now for filling it again, they need to make the cavity even more big while cleaning.
Also, I have some discomfort on the other filling that was done.

Excellent place to get your teeth taken care of, they did such a pretty good job and was painless. The staff is very friendly.

Just visited for the first time and loved the quality and how nice everyone was. My hygienist Christy (I believe that’s her name), was very nice, funny and explained everything she was doing and went over options with me. The doctor was also very friendly and he had a great upbeat energy. The receptionists at front also checked on me when my appointment was running late. The entire staff here is great.. thank you!

The first time in a long time that I have liked a dental facility and its staff!
I went because they had a Groupon, but I was super impressed, and I will be back.
The dentist actually gave me an option to fix a tooth that has bothered me for years (other dentists told me they couldn’t help, there was nothing wrong, or to chew on the other side of my mouth!). The price isn’t bad either.
The hygienist did a great job, my teeth feel super clean, and she was gentle and friendly as well!

The staff and female hygienist was very courteous, knowledgeable and professional. The doctor was very rude, inpatient and lack of professionalism. I tried on two occasions to speak with him. He decided to send the receptionist to answer my questions.

I cannot say enough how amazing this dental office is. Everyone from the front desk to the doctor are so friendly, professional, and very caring. Dr. Caldwell not only cared for my husbands filling but also my mom’s tooth extraction and he did an amazing job. If you notice the bad reviews here they all regard insurance problems. But any educated person knows to verify their own benefits and coverage before going to any office. It is patient’s responsibility to know before walking to any doctor or dentist office. Even when you are verifying insurance coverage they always have a disclosure “this does not guarantee of payment”. Regardless if you spend any money is worth every penny. I am so thankful for Tymes Square Dental!
