Burg Childrens Dentistry & Orthodontics - Ivory Ridge

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE
I took my 8 and 12 year old to Burg Children's Dentistry, this was our first time visiting a pediatric dentist. I was so impressed at how kid friendly the environment was and at the professionalism shown to us by all of the staff.

Steve and Alyssa, our hygienists, were fabulous with my boys. They were fully engaged with my boys asking them questions to get to know them and their hobbies which helped make my boys feel comfortable. It's not too often that you see or hear kids laugh at a dentist office and it was here.

Dr. Sorenson took time to discuss with me what was going on in my boys mouths and what to expect with wisdom teeth and possible braces. I didn't feel pressured into procedures just options to explore, all of my questions and concerns were taken care of.

As for Stacee, she is phenomenal. From the moment that I made the appointments, emailing me the paperwork to fill out, to walking us out the door, she went above and beyond to make our experience positive and safe during this uncertain time. We will definitely be coming back. I wish that they would see adults too!

Sooooo good! My two year old was nervous at first so they didn’t try to push him, just make him comfortable with the whole idea of it, which I really appreciate now as we just had our second visit and he wasn’t nervous at all this time! And he’s really shy! Can’t recommend this place enough.

We love Dr Sorenson and his assistants's. They do an amazing job with my kids and my kids love coming here.

The only reason I gave 4 stars, is because at times the front desk can feel pushy about payment. I totally understand that everyone wants to get paid. I have always paid what they estimate before leaving, but sometimes they have called when more is expected and want me to pay right that second (almost like I've defaulted on a payment and they are a debt collector) when I haven't even received a bill. Other than that, they have been great to work with.

My kids had their first dentist appointment here & we absolutely loved it! Taylor & Steve were so good with my babies, they made them feel so comfortable! Dr Sorenson was super nice! We’re excited to continue to come here!

We took our kids (4 & 2) here for their first dental visit and Melissa, Dr Sorensen and the entire team made our kids so comfortable and excited to be there! Melissa was absolutely incredible and had such a high sweet energy and did such a good job at explaining on an individual level what she was doing and helped make my kids so at ease. I would absolutely recommend Burg Children’s Dentistry!

I have never been to a more caring dentist. My son needed a lot of work done on his teeth and was very nervous about the appt. Dr. Burg and his staff are so nice and care about their patients. They made sure he was comfortable.

Loved our experience! I would highly recommend this place for your kids and their teeth. My little boy was terrified of the thought of the dentist and it took me a while to convince him to go in the building. But instantly The staff knew just what to do to make him comfortable and calm! They made it so fun and cheered him on the whole way! He got little prizes and a big balloon which he loved! The dentist was the nicest dentist I’ve ever met, so easy to talk to and so great with kids! Melissa and Abby were amazing assistants, my boy can’t wait to go back 👏🏼👏🏼 Fear conquered!

I’ve been here a few times. Unfortunately with this last visit I will never return. This visit we needed X-rays of two teeth.This first time taking the X-rays it took this girl at least 6 times. Right away I could see she was not capable of taking an X-ray. She barely capture something to show this doctor.
Once we had a picture we headed back to see doctor and he says I need to see more of the roots so let’s take another X-ray. We headed back to take an X-ray of these two teeth in hopes to see the roots. This girl again was not capable of taking an X-ray. Mind you my child is calm, not squirming not crying.
Here we are trying to get another X-ray of two teeth and this girl could not get this done, she calls in her coworker. This other coworker was not capable either. So at this point it’s like 7-8 tries. Now they call the women from the front desk. This woman was not capable either. So I’m exposing my baby girl to all this radiation as well as myself . It’s now 11 tries, they bring in the office manager. She tries at least 3or 4 times! She ends up hurting my daughter and now she’s upset and crying. I feel like a bad mother allowing this so many times. All these failed attempts for 1 X-ray of two teeth!!! And then she tells me “ I hope you’re not pregnant”?!?!! Like really !!
So unprofessional!! For a children’s place these kids need professional care and work so it’s not traumatizing like this appointment was. For both my daughter and I.
I would not recommend this place ever!

Being nice and welcoming is only half the job!! Anyone could do that if they tried!!! But it takes real care, compassion to get the job done right. With children and teeth, professionalism is where it’s at and this place does not have it!

Integrity, responsibility, respect and service! Not at this place!!

We’ve been coming to Dr. Sorenson for about a year and we love it! My 2 girls love going to the dentist! Our hygienist Melissa was so sweet to us. They are really professional and wonderful with kids, they make it fun and exciting for them

This place is phenomenal! It was my 3 year old sons first visit and they make it so fun. Having had traumatic dentist experiences myself, I think it’s so important to start your children out with a fun experience at the dentist. That way they aren’t scared of it. They were so patient and so good with my kids!
