I liked the dentist and the hygienists. The billing department was not competent. If I didn't remain vigilant and just "paid the bill" they would send, I would have paid them thousands of extra dollars over the seven years we went there. And it was just because they could never seem to figure out how to bill the insurance correctly. This was GEHA Dental insurance... fairly common. I don't know why it was always such a struggle. I had to do their job for them, costing me many hours of time in phone calls. Finally, enough was enough. There are plenty of other dentists around, and I had to switch.

This is probably the best dental cleaning experience I've had as an adult. The atmosphere is welcoming and calming. The employees are very friendly. If you get dental anxiety this is the place to go.

I googled dentist for wimps. I have been terrified to go back to a dentist since my wisdom teeth were pulled. Once I let the staff know how scared I was they were so wonderful. No judgment. By the time the procedure was to happen, I knew what was going on. I was told everything to expect to happen. The dentist also forgave me when I accidently bit him. I can't believe I am saying this, but I will go back to these guy's and gals. Thanks for such a positive visit for both my child and I.

I'm not one to geek out over a dental office, but this place is the cats meow. I've came here for years, and I refuse to go anywhere else (despite living in slc). The staff is beyond friendly, their scheduling process is quick and simple, they've accepted every insurance I've ever had, they've sat down to discuss every cost with me before selecting any of my plans, and their facility is gorgeous. I would come to this place even if I didn't have teeth.

I give 3 stars because I did receive treatment for what was needed. This was my 1st time visiting this office and I had high hopes because they had great reviews.
The 1st 15 minutes I spent in the waiting area listening to the billing ladies, receptionists and dentist talk badly about a patient who called with an issue. When I went back the office was clean, and nice. My dentists assistant was very kind to me and I cannot express how much I appreciate that. I have always had anxiety when it comes to going into a dentist. The dentist however, had zero bedside manner and overall just was not friendly at all. My teeth are terrible and I have had issues about them my whole life. I hate how some dentists make you feel "less then" because of that. We came up with a game plan, then billing came in to discuss the cost with me. I saw that they were charging me full price for a flipper ($700) and I questioned that immediately. I was told insurance doesn't cover those. Thankfully I had my insurance coverage pulled up on the app so I could show her otherwise. Had I not known my coverage I would have ended up paying $400 more then necessary on top of the xray fee that is fully covered as well! After that was resolved the dentist came in got me numb and got the procedure done in a timely manner. Ultimately, the work was performed and I got some relief from a very painful tooth. But I do not plan on returning to this office because I wasn't made to feel like I was really cared about at all. Just another meaningless patient to earn those $. If you're like me, and have anxiety when it comes to dental work I wouldn't recommend this office. There are plenty of other dentists in the area who will make you feel 100% more comfortable, cared about and at ease.

I have been to A LOT of dental offices and this one ranks in the top, without a doubt. All of the doctors and staff are professional and kind.
I typically work with Dr. Bateman, and when I have billing questions I contact Kelly in the front office. They are both AMAZING and actually listen to my concerns/questions.
The only criticism that I have is that their staff seems to change a lot more than your typical dentist office. I have had assistants, hygienists, and a dentist that I really liked that are no longer there, and when I have asked which office they transferred to, Mountain View Dental staff don’t provide that information. Point being, don’t get to caught up on having your favorites.
Regardless this is a 5 star office that I appreciate!

The work performed here is great. Reasoning behind 2 stars is the way they treat kids with cavities. I have 3 children. One of my kids had cavities and was treated as if he was not good enough. The other 2 kids got to pick from an assortment of goodies for having good teeth. While my son was treated poorly because of a cavity. He is 4 years old! He is terrified of the dentist and the way he is treated does not help the fear of the dentist. It is not your job to raise my kids. Please treat all kids fairly in the future. Thanks

I called Wednesday morning letting my dentist and his staff know that I could feel an abscess. Requested antibiotics and asked if I could be seen. Their response was minimal. They did call in amoxicillin and when I called back to let them know that I would need a stronger antibiotic than that, their answer was “gotta start somewhere”. When I asked if they had any emergency appointments available the answer was not until Thursday. They want me to go an entire week?! This bad of an abscess could lead to pericarditis or sepsis!!!
Thursday was thanksgiving. Fine, I get you are closed on a holiday.... but when I called because my tooth pain and swelling had gotten much worse I found there was no emergency number and no after hours contact. This is my first time ever having any sort of physician not have that.
I ended up in the ER having them give me stronger antibiotics and a steroid for the swelling. And that is minimal help thus far.

I highly recommend Mountain View Dental to anyone who feels apprehensive in any way about going to the dentist.
I first went to Dr. Frost out of total necessity. I hadn't been to a dentist in 6 years, and I was scared to death. All my past dentists have been horrible and I wasn't looking forward to having another bad experience . I was so scared and Dr. Frost calmed me down completely. I never had any discomfort for any of the procedures I went through, and there were many.
The girls at the front desk were so helpful and kind. Chelsey was able to answer all my questions regarding my insurance coverage and took it upon herself to call and verify the information. She really went above and beyond for me and I really appreciated that. Dr. Frost's dental assistant Kim was experienced and really took her time with me.
The rooms are state-of-the-art, clean, and welcoming. It hardly feels like you're sitting in a dental office.
Dr. Frost is really the Best!
