Provo Dental - Gary B Wiest D.M.D. and Kevin B Wiest DDS

I had a really bad pain in my mouth and Provo dental was amazing they were able to get me in that same day. Dr.Wiest made sure I was comfortable and not in pain and just really took good care of me. All the staff including assistants and front desk were so great and I 100% would recommend coming to this office for any dental needs. I had a really crazy problem with my teeth and I am feeling so much better. I am so thankful for them!!! Definitely going to Dr.Wiest for all my future needs!

I'm 43 years old and this is the best dentist I have been to in my life. They are super nice and professional, I can tell that they really care about their patients. I have finally found a dentist that really cares about my dental health and not just my insurance money. Thank you to the doctor, hygienist, and the dental assistant.

I absolutely love Provo Dental. Dr. Gary Wiest is such an awesome guy. And There newest addition (Dr. Kevin Wiest) is definitely a game changer in the dental world there in Provo Utah. Dr. Kevin worked on me today and it was as if I was there for only a mere few minutes. In and out without any pain or worries. I recommend them to everyone around. I was greeted so kindly and felt an immediate sense of care. The staff are efficient, gentle, and friendly. The hygienist had a gentle touch. Dr Wiest took time to educate me and answer all my questions. I was well taken care of.

Found Provo Dental through our new insurance and have had great experiences this year. My husband has had many dental issues and these dentists were so kind and gentle. We've moved cities but am seriously considering driving the 45 minutes for future appointments because the whole office was that good.

Great experience! Everyone from the beginning to the end had cheerful attitudes and made the whole process not just easy but also fun. Assistants were friendly and easy to connect with, hygienists were incredibly kind and concerned with making sure I was always comfortable and got what I wanted, and the dentist was very informative and kind. Highly recommend to anyone.

Dr. Wiest and his staff are amazing! We’ve been patients for more than half a decade, and we’ve never had a bad experience here. If they’re ever “running behind” (which is almost never), we’ve never had to wait more than an extra 10-15 minutes. They’re family operated, local, and they provide that personal touch that is so often missing in more corporate dental offices. They care about their patients personally and even remember what you talked about on your last visit - even things they didn’t put in their notes. If you want to feel like just another number being treated by just another robot, this is NOT the dentist for you! Thanks Dr. Wiest - and everyone else!

As a new patient to this establishment I expected more. The office staff is friendly enough and the dental assistant seemed to care when she asked if I wanted the fan on but Dr. Kevin Weist was a brute and seemed to not be concerned at all with my comfort. Oh, but let's start with the fact that he took out the wrong tooth. I went in complaining of pain in one of my molars. After taking the xray it was his opinion that the pain couldn't be coming from that tooth, it had to be the one next to it because the cavity was shadowed all the way to the nerve. Looking at them, how could I argue with that. So, the first thing he did was have the fan turned off, then he started to numb the area by grabbing my cheek and shaking it, at times, so hard I thought my head was going to come off, while administering the shot. This was not my first tooth extraction and I have NEVER had a dentist treat me so aggressively in just the numbing process.

It was a difficult removal, I will give him that, but during the whole thing he managed to tear up the side of my tongue and leave bruises around my lips and sides of my mouth from the instruments leverage to get the roots out. At one point in the whole process I even gagged and had to bolt out of position as they were choking me with too much water. Once it was done, they rinsed it, gave me 3 packets of ibuprofen with tylenol and said their merry goodbyes. I seriously even had to ASK for some gauze to put on the open hole in my mouth to help it stop bleeding.

Now, 4 days later, I still have an excruciating toothache; I can't get to another dentist to treat it until Friday the 28th and Provo Dental's only advice to me is to take more tylenol for the pain. I'd already tried that and, if that had worked, I wouldn't have called them asking for a stronger pain medication so that I can sleep through the night. I WILL NOT EVER allow this man to treat me again. I only chose them because the dentist I normally saw was no longer listed under the In Network dentists on my insurance. I would rather go back to my previous dentist and pay for my treatment myself then have another encounter with Dr. Weist. I DO NOT in any way, shape or form, recommend this man to anyone who is looking for a dentist that has empathy or even just basic human compassion.

I love Provo dental! They are so friendly and super easy and nice to work with! They got me an appointment super fast and had an option to fill out paperwork before hand! The staff and DR are very nice and want to get to know you!

I've been going to Dr. Gary Wiest for a few decades now. He is excellent: knowledgable, personable, and very good at what he does. I've watched him interact with people of all ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities, and he is the perfect dentist for everyone. I'm enjoying my interaction with his son and partner Dr. Kevin Wiest and feel like I'm getting the same super-high quality of care from him, as well.
