UPDATE: It's been a few months since this review and I just received a bill in the mail from Professional Dental for $250. This place is the worst dental office I've ever been to:

First, right up front I'm going to say that the reason they are getting 1 star instead of none (which should be an option) is because the staff is friendly. That's the only reason.

I had one thing right after another go wrong with this office. First, I went in for a checkup and ended up needing a lot of work done - which wasn't a surprise. But each time I'd go back, they'd charge me. I have dental insurance, but that didn't seem to matter. I was very confused by it, but just assumed it'd all work out in the end. I asked the receptionist for a printout of everything I've been billed for and she said she couldn't do that and I'd have to get that done at the main office. ???? Oookay.

As for the dentist that was doing my work, he put on a temporary crown and two weeks later at my appt. to get the permanent crown, they jumped right to the cavities that needed to be filled and then were perplexed by this other tooth I had that looked like a temporary tooth. Using all the throat sounds I could, I said, "UH HUH!" The dentist and the assistant were discussing this tooth and I'm thinking, "Do they seriously not know why I'm here today?" Then they told me I was done and I was so confused and as they were walking me out the assistant said, "Oh! I think we have a crown to put on her today!" I said with an annoyed smile, "Yes you do." I didn't realize I'd have to tell the staff what I'm in there for every time I visit.

Six months later, I went in for my cleaning and the dental assistant told me that she can see tooth decay under a crown they'd done 6 months earlier! The dentist (different than the one that put on the crown) quickly confirmed and said she'd be happy to fix that for free. Well I hope so. She also noticed other teeth that would need crowns soon and put in the system to get them done without even asking me. This stuff costs a lot of money, but I don't think they understand that.

Af the end of my first appointment back, I went to the receptionist and noticed he was a different guy than I'd dealt with before. He looked at my account and couldn't believe the $1100 credit that was on my account because they'd overcharged me 6 months earlier. Without asking me if I wanted a check, he said that they'd apply it to my crowns that needed to get done. I just went with it because I was sick and tired of all of it.

The receptionist called me later that day to set up an appointment to get my crowns done. He asked me if I wanted to get them done all at once or if I wanted to split them up in different appointments. I told him I had to work so I wanted to split them up, but he said it would probably just be easier for me to take one day to do them. So I decided to take the day off of work to get them done. That was a huge mistake because halfway through my appointment the dentist told me that they don't have time to finish because they were short staffed and had to get to other people. I told her I wasn't very happy about that because I took the day off after their receptionist talked me into it. She felt uncomfortable because I wasn't happy about it, but there was nothing I could do. Afterward, I paid a small balance that the receptionist said would be all I'd have to pay because my credit took care of the rest.

I had about 2 more appointments and when I finally thought I was done with everything, the receptionist told me that I had a $500+ bill that I needed to pay. I told him "No" and that I'd paid everything already and there was more awkwardness with him. He said he'd look into it and then he let me leave. Later that day he called to say that I had already paid everything.

They later sent me a card apologizing for a computer outage that happened during my appointment (which was nothing compared to what I'd been through) and gave me dental coupons for future dental work. Ha! That's a nice gesture, but I'm never going back there again.

I have been going to this office for several years. The last time I was in out of nowhere they tell me I need 5 crowns and a bridge for a missing tooth,I had the tooth removed years ago. This was surprising to me but I trusted them and had them get me prices and scheduled. I came in today for the first of two days of surgery and asked to see the prices again to set up my payment plan, which they do offer. The total they provide is nearly $1200 more than what they told me. When I said I couldn't do it with this increased price they began pushing me to just get something done. I left and will not be coming back.

They do fantastic work! I haven't been this pleased with a dentist in years. They were able to fix a botched crown I had from another dentist! Friendly and knowledgeable staff! Pricing is straightforward and I've never had problems with billing. Highly recommended!

It was a real treat to visit the Professional Dental office in Saratoga Springs last week. It was a royal treat because the female hygienist and the female assistant were great in providing the services I need. I have never received such a treatment in other dental offices in the Utah County. Both were very professional and kind and helpful. I will renew the experience next time I will need dental services. Great staff!

I came here yesterday for myself and came back today for my kids. The dental hygienist Claudia is the sweetest, most helpful, hygienist I’ve ever had! She gave me the most thorough clean I’ve ever had also! She walked my kids through the tricks of brushing and took so much time with us. Then Doc was so great too. Blew up a glove into a balloon for my baby to keep her happy while looking at my other kids teeth. Happy to have a great place to keep our teeth healthy!

I bring the whole family. They manage to get all six of us appointments together, and always work around our crazy schedule. This is an incredibly accommodating office. We've never had anything but a positive experience! My kids don't even complain about going!

Professional Dental has a great team of people that do what's best for you. I've never felt pressured like with some dentists to get more work done than needed. I highly recommend them.
