Doctor Holt is a decent dentist but watch your wallet. I've used doctor Holt as my primary dentist for 10 year's. I had a crown come off that was around that same age. I immediately called and had a appointment set up within 1 week. I brought my crown with me expecting to have it re cemented on since I was told they lasted 20 year's plus. After a 10 second half ass attempt to put it back on I was notified that my teeth had moved so much it wouldn't fit anymore. It seemed odd but I scheduled a appointment to have a new crown put on. After thinking about it for a minute I asked for my old crown back and was told it had already been thrown away. I called a family dentist and asked if that was possible. He told me that a week was not enough time for my teeth to shift enough that a crown shouldn't fit. So I scheduled a appointment with him to have a new crown fitted and made. I would have never truly know whether doctor Holt was telling me the truth or not, accept about 3 weeks before my appointment to have my new crown put in my temporary crown came off. I called and they mailed me some temporary cement and told me it would be good if I could get my temporary back in but that if not it shouldn't be a huge deal. I tried to get it back in my mouth but I couldn't get it in very well so I kept it out and waited for my permanent crown to come in and have it put in by doctor Larson. Funny thing is that after 3 weeks and $500 later. The crown fit perfectly in my mouth and my teeth never moved enough to cause me to order a new crown. He also told me if I was ever in the same situation and It came out at anytime, that crown's last 20-30 year's and he'd be happy to cement it back in for me. Now after 2 month's I'm getting letter's regarding more aggressive action that will be taken if I don't pay the $50 that they say I owe for a appointment that I should have never had to make. I'll make that $50 payment and chalk this up as a learning experience and a opportunity to find and work with a straight up dentist that's not all about making every dime they can off you. Unfortunately dealing with doctor Holt was a $500 learning experience that never needed to happen. If you want a dentist that won't try to break your bank account and one that is honest, keep on looking if you come across his name as you're looking for a dentist.

I feel like the dentist is nice and qualified, I don't agree with how the office is managed. My husband recently received a large bill without explanation of what was owed and why. As it turns out it was an accumulation of small amounts over the last year and a half or so. We had asked every time we went in if we owed any on previous visits. My husband and I did this separately. They always said no. when we got our eobs there were small amounts such as 10 or $20 and we assumed they were written off as professional courtesy or not viable charges. They said they had to wait for insurance to respond which is true however the insurance got back to them within a couple months not a year and a half. the other problem I had was that my husband and I have separate insurances and we should have had separate accounts. I never said he was the head of household and in fact he is not the head of household I provide as much or more than him. This is a violation of HIPAA. Their statement didn't even identify that it was multiple people it just said my husband's name. to me this is sloppy accounting and it is not fair to the patient to unload a large amount on them when they are not prepared for it.
