Please be warned - I went to see Dr. Arafa because I have been having tooth pain. He did some tests and x-rays and said tooth #4 needed a full root canal for $800. In sticker shock, I immediately called another dentist who I'd never been to for a second opinion. Turns out, a filling I had in tooth #3 had cracked and fallen out. They showed me photos of it, and it was obvious to me and I'm not a physician. I can't believe Dr. Arafa misdiagnosed something so obvious. All I needed was a new filling - in a completely different tooth! He wanted to do a root canal on a perfectly healthy tooth, and my pain would not have been solved. It's unbelievable. This experience leads me to believe he is motivated by money, and not helping patients. His hygienist was super kind, though.
