The Dentist at Felida

This dentist office is the best I've been to that takes state insurance. I have a lot of self confidence issues with my teeth and the dentist and his staff have been very helpful and kind. I appreciate going here as my worries are put at ease and I know I will be well taken care of each visit. Thank you!

He is the best dentist I've ever seen he's funny,really chilled,my experience with his blessed hands I thank God for him one of the things that I loved most about him is that he said that he's in the business of keeping teeth not taking them so who couldn't appreciate a dentist like him .

I went in for an emergency tooth extraction because I had a bad tooth chip and expose a cavity. Dr. Okafor was amazing! He berated me for the condition my teeth were in but I didn’t think anything of it besides good dental advice. Amazing bedside manner and always made sure I was comfortable before getting my tooth pulled. He was nice enough to offer to do my cleaning and other exams at my next appt. Highly recommend! Their practice is sort of in the middle of the neighborhood so there’s not a lot of traffic coming in and out or even outside the business. He is the only dentist there so he was between patients which is fine with me, it gave me time to relax and give myself a pep talk beforehand. 10/10!

I went today to get all four of my wisdom teeth pulled. I was pretty nervous about the process but Dr. Okafer made the process so stress free once I got there. I would recommend this office to anyone! The office is very clean and modern and the staff are amazing. 😊

Overall, the best dental experience I've ever had. From the start to end. Receptionist was super nice, hygienists were very nice and friendly. Very bright, nice, and clean. Dr. was very friendly, didn't feel scared or intimidated at all, felt very comfortable. Definitely my new long term dentist, highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Okafor at The Dentist at Felida. He was very kind, and explained to me in detail what was going on with a very sore tooth, and what my options were. He didn’t pressure me into anything and I left the visit informed and able to make a decision. I will be coming back and bringing my family. It’s a beautiful office as well, just great all around and highly recommended.

I don’t even know where to begin. I hate leaving negative reviews because I work in a industry that has been decimated by them but this is my only recourse. I was recommended this dentist through my healthcare provider. First appointment was to fix a broken tooth back in August. He did his cleaning and overall evaluation of the mentioned issue. I ended up being scheduled once a week for the next 4 months. I was spending more time in his dentist chair than I was at home. I thought at the time that it was a normal practice. My wife warned me differently. He is a very nice person and I’ll give him credit for that BUT. There were several appointments that I waited in the chair for close to an hour before he even saw me. On one visit they had me gagged up with all kinds of instruments in my mouth for over an hour while they tried to figure out an internet issue. My time is extremely precious and as I stated before it was waisted here unnecessarily on a regular basis. But that’s only the tip of the ice burg. Apparently, my insurance ran out on either the first or second visit and what should have been a 2 to 3 visit procedure and instead turned into months of horror I was finally given a bill in January to cover the cost of everything he did over the last several months. AT NO TIME did he explain that I was now out of pocket and at NO TIME was money discussed even when “recommending” more procedures. I won’t share the amount of the bill that I was given at the end but I will say it’s going to take me well over a year to pay it off. He 100% took advantage of the situation for a higher pay day and I could tell because his entire demeanor changed the second he put the bill in front of my face. If I would have known what this was going to cost out of pocket, I would have walked out on day one. Be VERRY weary of this man.

This is the best dentist around. I live in Portland and followed him to this location when he stopped working at his secondary practice that was closer to me. Definitely never going to another dentist. The doctor does exceptional work and has no problem being transparent about pricing, which is rare to find in the medical field. If you come across this just trust that you won't find better dentist.

I had my appointment with the dentist about a year and a half ago and have written and erased this review too many times, but I am honestly still so frustrated. I went in for a couple fillings due to cavities that weren’t giving me any issues. But before things got started, he was very pushy about selling me another treatment and when I told him multiple times it was out of my budget he still persisted. It made me very uncomfortable and I hadn’t even sat down fully in the chair. Then, once the procedure started, he gave me the anesthetic to numb the left side of my mouth. As quick as he could put the needle down, he already had the drill in hand and began drilling into my teeth before I was numb. I felt the entire procedure and was in a lot of pain. He didn’t ask me once if I was okay even though I was wincing and pushing back into the chair. I left there with my whole body aching from being so stressed. I now have sensitive teeth that cause me problems because he didn’t do the fillings correctly. They were sensitive from the day after the procedure and have been sensitive ever since. Due to covid I am now without insurance and currently can’t afford to get it fixed. I have never had such a poor experience at a dental office and do not want others to have the same experience I did. I also never heard back from the office even though I had another appointment scheduled for a cleaning a few months later. The overall practice seemed unorganized and not the most professional.

EDIT: I did not call back because I did not feel comfortable to have my mouth worked on at this practice again. Too much had happened.

Never had a better dentist and I’ve been to a few! The dr is very patient and gentle!! I had a tooth extraction, he sat with me and calmed me down before the procedure and was done in 5-10 mins. Very gentle! I will definitely be going back, without a doubt. 20/10 would recommend!
