I had a crown done on a cracked tooth here, and because it was a good experience I became a regular patient. The hygienists here are really great.
My problem is not with the care here...It's with their unrealistic cancellation policy. Over the course of the past two years I have had to reschedule two appointments–one for myself, and one for my daughter–due to illness (I didn't think they'd appreciate us coming in when we had the flu).
In the case of my daughter's appointment, I called to reschedule the day of the appointment. Yes, I understand this leaves a hole in their schedule, but when your three-year-old starts to vomit in the middle of the night, you wouldn't march right into the dentist the next morning at 9am, right??
I'm not sure what they would have had me do differently in this scenario, but either way, I received a letter in the mail letting me know that because I had had two "failed appointments" (that's what they call a rescheduled appointment, apparently) I was going to be required to pay in advance for all future appointments, or would be "dismissed as a patient."
Ok, well, that just doesn't work for me (I can't imagine it working for anyone with small children who occasionally get sick...) and I will be going elsewhere for my family's dental needs now.
It's a shame they lost two patients (would have been three, actually, because my husband was going to switch to Lakeview as well, due to my previous good experiences with them) to their unreasonable policy.
I have always shown up early or on time to my appointments and pay in full with cash (no insurance) at the time of my services, but apparently they're OK losing my family's business over two rescheduled appointments.
Like I said, their hygienists are great, so you'll likely be a happy customer, unless you're anyone with a life/kids/the inability to see 4 months into the future to know with 100% certainty that you won't ever have to reschedule an appointment with them....

Very impressed with Dr. Michael Auvinen. He is very calming and excellent at what he does. I had my first root canal and I did NOT feel a thing. Him and his staff are professional and knowledgeable. I can not say enough good about them. I will be seeing him with all dental work going forward!!!

I visited Lakeview dental today for the first time. I found their entire staff to be very friendly and professional. The hygienist, Brooke, was absolutely outstanding. I did not need any work done, so I can't speak to that, but my overall experience today was overwhelmingly positive.
