This was my very first visit to Lakeview as a new patient, I was nervous as I had spent almost 8 years with my other provider. The front desk receptionists were very kind and so was the woman who took my X-rays. After the x-rays were completed the sweet dental hygienist woman pulls up my x-rays on a giant screen and says that I need a root canal and a crown. I was pretty surprised and confused as I hadn't met the dentist yet. she asked if I wanted to do this TODAY, and I was really surprised and I said I need to better understand and she got the financial lady to come back and explain the costs and what my insurance would cover. Who tells me that the OUT OF POCKET, PAY INFULL price tag for this would be almost 1,300$. I literally Laughed Out Loud! I can't pay that!? and what is this based on? Financial lady says " this is based on the dentists recommendations."......"I haven't even met the dentist!" "Oh you'd like to meet the dentist!? Ok at this point I was like what dental planet did I land on, of course I want to meet the dentist, who is supposedly open and up for giving me a root canal and a crown and take my 1300 without ever feeling the need to come introduce himself. Dr. Auvinen did come and meet me after the talk with the financial lady when I was obviously irritated. He seemed nice, however, no apology for not coming in earlier, no explanation, it felt like the twilight zone. I am not sure if this was just a weird day for them, or if they just aren't great at welcoming in new clients. Bummer either way as I am not sure what my options are.

I cannot believe how friendly everyone there are. They know I have a real dental phobia and are always concerned about my comfort. I seem to have a dental crisis at least twice a year and they always manage to get me in and never make me feel like I have inconvenienced them at all. I have had extensive dental work done there and Dr. Mike always seems to come up with a solution to save my teeth and smile.

Everything was clean. They checked temps at the door, you called to enter the building and the patients and staff are limited. I felt totally safe and secure in the building. They are following proper procedures very efficiently.
