Went in to have a filling done on a front tooth and to establish myself with a new dentist as I just moved up here. The check in process was fine and same with the paperwork. When I got back into the booth that's when the fun started. They took all the xrays and photos of my teeth and mouth like everyone else does so issue there. It's when they started going over the "results". Without even looking at the xrays I was told I needed 9 crowns. 3 of the crowns were on teeth that had no cavities or fillings! Was told all my fillings were on the verge of falling out. Mind you the dentist hasn't even seen me or my xrays only the assistant. I explain I just want a filling for the one that fell out and my insurance won't cover so many crowns. She then tells me they refuse to do any fillings and only crowns and tries to get me to apply for some credit card thing which I decline. Asked to have the filling done and am denied again with the same reason. Only crowns. She walks away and leaves my chart open. They already put the crowns in with the amount and I was pushing $15k! The assistant was in the next booth over giving the same pitch to an elderly lady. Saying she needed a new crown for a crown they put in a month ago! At that point I just walked out. It seems they are only interested in doing crowns on people with Medicare or insurance with small coverages. I never saw the dentist the entire time I was there and don't even know if one was there. Maybe I showed up on a bad day as all the reviews are the opposite or the reviews are fake I don't know. But I left and never looked back. They also gave no issues when I requested my xrays so good there.

Tekhla (spell?)did a great job on cleaning my teeth they look great... It was much less uncomfortable than other teeth cleaning I have had done.
Dr Jacobs did a thorough exam and did'nt find anything wrong which is always nice
One of the reasons I always use Lakeview is that several years ago Dr Jacobs and assistant stayed late to fix a chipped front tooth just before we left on a christmas ski trip it really saved our vacation!

Dr. Jacobs is wonderful. If you want a dentist that will keep you out of pain during a procedure, look no further than him. He's very personal and takes the time to explain the procedure and available options. And this is coming from an "Antidentite" (Seinfeld reference).
