I have been a patient of Pearly White Dentistry since it opened and received great care until Dr. Blackwell sold the practice to Dr. Brittney Henry and her husband Dr Gordon Henry. This Review is ONLY a review to Dr Brittney and Gordon Henry's practices.
I have been there for routine visits and extensive dental work. Routine they have down well and no complaints there. Anything past that is an odd practice as the Dentist does nothing and the hygienist does everything.
I had a bridge done, something I had never had done before but the whole time I was in the chair I kept asking where is the Doctor??? I honestly am not sure Dr Brittney did anything in the process of getting a bridge outside of advising me to get one. I think I spent over 3 hours in the chair as the hygienist or someone similar cauterized my gums and put me through insane pain to place the permanent bridge in my mount. I believe I spent close to that on the prep. Again, no Dentist but hygienist did the prep work.
I also had a crown replaced there and same thing. Very little contact with Dr. Brittney and no one even gave me a chance to review the crown color. When I got there to have the permanent crown put in, I asked to see the color because the hygienist was about to cement it in without letting me see it in my mouth!! The color was yellow and I declined. Once they realized they never gave me a chance to have a say in the color, they redid it and I was happy. However the crown prep took hours and it should not have.
I unfortunately referred my 79 year old mother to this practice. She has also had a horrible experience. Once again hygienists doing the work and little contact with Dr Brittney, the Dentist. My Mother had a crown prep done this past week. After sitting in the chair for 2.5 hours, her temporary fell out the next night. When speaking to Dr. Brittney Henry on the phone that night she mentioned to my mom that 2 people should have been in the room to properly put the temp as that was the only way to ensure it was dry enough. I brought her there next day and guess what!!! 1 person put the temp back on and the VERY next day it fell off AGAIN!!!
Clearly this practice does not value quality care even when they are fixing a failure they created.
Not sure what kind of practice they are running. Is it a school for teaching their hygienist to do their work or a legit Denistry???

Becoming a patient at Pearly White has made me actually enjoy the dentist! The office is almost like a spa with the comfortable massage chairs. They use top of the line equipment. The staff is always friendly. I look forward to going to the dentist & no one ever says that!

I ran across this dentist office while looking for a new dentist in the Bham area, read the reviews and quickly made an appointment over the phone. The office was easy to find and the staff was friendly at check-in. They quickly got me back for an annual cleaning and the young lady tending to my teeth was fast and efficient. The dentist was very nice and knowledgable as well. Any questions I had were fully answered. I'm thoroughly satisfied with choosing this office as my new dental home and look forward to using them again!
