I was referred to North Star by another dentist office for all of my wisdom teeth to be extracted and when I got there, the staff was very friendly and I automatically felt comfortable and relaxed. Before the procedure, they had explained what would happen during the procedure, how it was going to be done, and what they would be using. I did an IV sedation instead of anesthesia which is recommended because you wouldn't feel the pain during the procedure, and you wont wake up. After I was done, I woke up to smiles and a welcoming group. My entire surgery took 15 mins, and one of my wisdom teeth was laying sideways growing into my other teeth. Dr. Hompesch was and is and amazing Dr. who is friendly and caring and always making sure the patient was comfortable and okay. I would recommend any and every body to go to Dr. Hompesch and his staff. Thank you Dr. Hompesch for everything, you and your staff are truly awesome.

Dr. Hompesch removed two of my wisdom teeth, which were impacted. At my request, he did it with local anesthesia so I'd be able to drive home afterwards instead of having to arrange for a ride. He warned me that it would be uncomfortable, and it was, but throughout the procedure, he and his assistant constantly reassured me that I was doing great.
I ended up having a lot of pain where the most impacted tooth had been, but when I called the office, they got me in to see Dr. Hompesch that day. He was very sympathetic and checked to make sure everything was healing fine. It was, so he gave me some ibuprofen and then recommended that I go home, take the stronger medicine he'd prescribed, and rest. I took his advice, and from then on, it was smooth sailing!
I highly recommend North Star Oral & Facial Surgery. Getting impacted wisdom teeth taken out wasn't fun, but having such nice people take care of me was great!

Operation doe my wisdom teeth removal went smoothly and everything was well except for the fact that they missed a piece of bone or tooth that was stuck on the side of my molar that I removed by myself after realizing that that side was not healing and I could feel something hard beneath my irritated gums.

Aww they were so amazing. I couldn’t afford getting my tooth removed but it was an emergency cuz my face was so swollen and I hadn’t slept in days from the pain. They worked with me as best as they could. I felt like the assistant was getting frustrated but she was still super friendly. Dr.H was super friendly and answered any questions I had. I recommend this place. They did an awesome job.
