Before getting my braces, I was told by others I needed a surgical procedure done where my jaw bone is broken in half and then modified to widen my upper palate - because of my cross-bite. Scary as it sounds, this was one of the things that always held me back from getting braces. So, I finally had the guts and was recommended to go see this facility by my current orthodontist for further professional investigation of my cross-bite. When I arrived to this facility, everyone treated me as though they knew me for a long time. They were all kind and interested in my total health (this was really helpful as it started to help me feel calm). Then, I had exams done, such as dental impressions, CBCT scan, dental measurements, pictures taken, and so forth. I really appreciated how well everything was explained to me in the process. What amazed me even more was that the doctor even met with my current orthodontics to talk about my exams. A few days later, I spoke with the doctor and my orthodontics and their conclusion was that I didn’t need the procedure. The procedure would help with the process, but it wasn’t a need. I was so relieved!
My experience in this facility was amazing. The doctor and staff were very respectful and kind to me, everything was well explained, and I didn’t feel pressure for an unneeded procedure. And awkwardly I remember the insurance lady’s name, Alma. Never before has anyone in any other office explain to me very thoroughly my insurance information. I’ve been in other offices where I get a sort of uncomfortable feeling because I’m an adult and know little about my insurance. But, she naturally made me feel comfortable and her positivity enlighten my mood. All in all, I had a wonderful experience. Thank you.

It was amazing. I had a bad wisdom tooth pulled and I asked to be knocked out. When it was done I had very little sourness and the staff were awesome. If I ever have any other major issues I will be going back there... definitely. I highly recommend them.

My father collapsed in pain during a hike near Fairbanks, and it turned out one of his teeth was hurting so much that it caused a head ache. I called around and eventually found North Star who said they had one slot open for emergencies. The doctor saw my father, and immediately provided the right treatment and provided all documentation and explanations. There was a follow up call a few days later as well. My father is completely fine now, and no longer has any head aches. Thank you!
