Turns out I might not hate going to the dentist after all. It just took a bit for me to find the right match.

My first visit was around summer 2020 when they got me in for a last minute appt for a toothache. It was my first trek out of the house in months and I was a little hesitant, but it appeared that they were taking proper precautions and in the end I felt very safe.

Everyone at Okun makes regular cleanings and checkups a breeze. Dr. Styskal and Beth always make me feel comfortable in the chair. A cleaning that’s both gentle and thorough can sometimes be a tough ask, but Beth does it every time! The office is clean and modern. Okun for the win!

Dr. Okun’s office is always a Happy and Positive place. They have the highest professional standards and stay on schedule. I actually enjoy coming to this dental office.

As always everyone was very friendly & professional. I began coming to Okun Dentistry since it was first started by Bruce Okun way back when, and his daughter has become as good as her Dad. I will continue to use their services because they employ staff that is knowledgeable & cares.

Great service! I've just switched to this dental office, so this was my second visit. The first visit was a cleaning. Definitely the most thorough cleaning I've ever had! The dentist found a tiny spot between two teeth and said "It's a pretty small cavity, but do you tend to get food stuck there?" Damnit, YES! All the time and it drives me nuts! The dentist said she could take care of the cavity and tighten up the area, so I jumped on that. Went in yesterday to have it done. The visit was surprisingly short for how meticulous she was. She was very careful to make sure it wasn't too tight, and she replaced an old, small silver filling while she was there. No pain during the procedure, and just the normal minor soreness that you would expect that evening. Now it's the next morning and my mouth feels totally normal. Well, except for not having a piece of breakfast stuck between those two teeth!

My experience was wonderful! The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. I was super nervous because the last time I had seen a dentist I had a panic attack. Everything was explained to me and I felt comfortable the whole time.

Dr. Amy is a top-notch dentist with a top-notch practice. Her office/staff are very professional - but most importantly kind and warm. I trust her implicitly - she’s a great doctor and really takes excellent care of her patients.

When I moved to Scottsdale from NYC, my dentist recommended Okun Dentistry. At first I was like ‘but it’s in Tempe’ … BUT, fast forward four years and I’m so glad I made the decision because she is phenomenal (for general as well as cosmetic). Highly recommend!

I highly reccomend you go elsewhere! Complete lack of quality work in addition to scam billing. Dr. Irina gave me a filing that fell out almost exactley one year after it was done. Went in to have it fixed and they charged me AGAIN for the repair that was their fault. During the repair they noted how well my mouth looked and appologized that I was having to have it re-done. When I asked shockingly how they could charge me for their faulty work, they said"it was beyond a year old, we don't know what you have done to your teeth in the meantime, and you just saw Dr. Okun and not Dr.Irina". Classless bad dentistry.

I'm probably more excited about Okun Dentistry than I should be but I've been to a few different dentists over the years and it's not easy finding a good one. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to listen to my concerns while giving great advice. I was actually seen by two different dentists on my first visit and was able to get cavities filled that day which I thought was nice. The main thing that sets them apart from other dentists is their general concern for the patient and overall quality of work. They are a little pricier but it is definitely worth it.

I need to begin by saying how much I dislike going to the dentist. Does anyone ever enjoy going? However, this office has changed that. I don’t know how they do it, but every single person in the office, starting from the receptionists, to the dental assistants to the dentists and orthodontist, go above and beyond to connect and ensure their patients are comfortable and happy. I had to visit the office several times during a short span. Each and every visit, I was treated with respect and kindness. They take the time to communicate and ensure clear understanding. Every person I came in contact with made me feel that I was as valued, and my time was valued.
It is easy to see the difference between an office with happy employees, and one with unhappy employees. During my visits, I observed the employees being respectful to each other, helping each other, and even saw two do a little dance. Maybe that is silly, but what I discern from these observations is happy employees make happy patients.
I had several procedures done. The dentist and assistant explained before and during the procedures what to expect. They ensured that I was comfortable and relaxed at every step. My healing process was quick and I couldn’t be more satisfied with their hard work.
I know that I am not alone my opinion of this office. As I was leaving today, I was expressing my gratitude for everyone’s help. A patient in the waiting room chimed in that he felt the same way. He explained his parents were patients, he and his wife were patients, and now his young children were patients.
I promise that I am not related, nor do I personally know anyone in the office. I took the time to write all of this because in these crazy times, treating one another with kindness and respect should be recognized and appreciated.
The takeaway from all of this is, if you want to be treated respectfully, receive clear communication, and receive great dental care from highly skilled professionals, this is the right office.

I really like this practice. I have an unnatural fear of the dentist. Imagine a 40 year old man turning in to a 5 year old in the dentist chair. Everyone there is fantastic and puts me at ease. Dr. Amy and Dr. Styskal make sure I feel comfortable and try to calm me down to make sure that all goes smoothly. I'm sure they hate me since I fight them so much, but I've had a lot of work done there and each time, they are fantastic. They are patient, kind, and do everything in their power to make sure you are at ease. The hygienists are also really good at that and they make you feel valued and important. If you're looking for a dentist, look no further than this office. I've been a patient for years, and appreciate them more with every visit.
