My insurance company assigned me to Spanish Trail Dental Group. Not wanting to try a new place, I stayed away for a year. Then I broke a tooth. Image my horror when I reviewed the negative reviews about this place! I shared my apprehension with the receptionist who had been there for a few years. She told me that the change in dentists had led to many improvements. Assuring me that they have been working hard on their customer relations, she urged me to give them a try.
I'm so glad I did! The entire staff was professional and friendly. The dentist took his time and did a great job crafting a ceramic crown for my tooth right there in the office. No temporaries, no second appointments. He explained why the tooth broke in the first place and told me how to avoid having my other back molars meet the same fate. He laid out all of the options, was honest about the pros and cons of each, and let me make up my own mind.
Except for the initial numbing shot, there was no pain and no discomfort. I was treated with dignity. The insurance company picked up a reasonable amount for the crown. The prices were commensurate with those that I've seen at other dental offices.
I was so pleased that I went back a week later for a regular exam, x-rays, and cleaning. The co-pay was only $20. We discussed ways to keep my 55-year-old teeth in their relatively good condition. I even made an appointment for six months from now.
The people at the Spanish Trail Dental Group have done a great deal toward reducing my dental phobia!

Have read the poor reviews, but have to say that the experience of my wife, Nancy, and I are totally the opposite. We have had a long list of dentists in our lifetime. Nancy has perfect teeth, and mine are horrible. I have had a lot of facetime (or should I say "mouth" time) in dentists' offices and I have to say that our initial visit to this office was a dream experience!
The office was modern, clean and very inviting. The staff was extremely friendly and very professional. Our wait time was minimal and the care was fantastic. Every aspect of our treatment plan was laid out clearly, from all options for our dental needs to detailed financial explanations for each option.
We have never had such a great experience as we had with this group. As registered nurses, Nancy and I are keenly aware of what it takes to provide high quality care to our patients. Spanish Trail Dental Group is the model that all dentist offices should be using! If this is the norm for this practice, we won't be going anywhere else.

Have seen these reviews and they do not describe Spanish Trail Dental Group. Most of the reviews are years old anyways. I had the best experience at this office and could not recommend it more highly! :) The assistants and staff were so considerate and friendly and Dr. Hanna made me feel so comfortable :) I truly felt that they cared about my experience in the dental chair but also what will be best for me long term (my treatment plan).
Sad to see these reviews because this place is really a gem! :) if you aren't sure about it give them a shot, I did and I'm glad - I've found my new dentist!

Havn't been to the dentist since I was in the military (~8 years now), and I am uninsured like many with the cost of premiums these days. With a family, I did everything I could to avoid the dentist, knowing it would cost more than I could afford. I had 2 teeth that have been bothering me for months now, and could no longer find soothing methods to dull the pain to tolerable levels. I gave in, and called here. They got me in as soon as they could within the next 24 hours. They worked with me knowing I had no insurance, and made it happen. Within the next 24 hours after seeing Doctor Kun and his assistant Debbie, I was in the chair getting the pain taken care of.
I know the poor choices I made as a kid brought me to this situation, and it has got so bad to where I am embarrassed to crack a smile and show to much of my teeth.
After seeing Doctor Kun and Debbie, I feel better about my smile and teeth than I believe I ever have... and there is still work to be done! I will recommend Spanish Trail Dental to everyone from here, out; especially Doctor Kun. I can literally say he changed my life, and it feel/looks amazing! Thank you!
The establishment itself is very clean, the staff were all kind and friendly, they were well organized, and the made the process quick and easy.
This is no 2.8 star dental facility even if Google reviews say it to be.
There was to tricks, when it came to financing options; they explained my options, and what any fees would be now, or even down the road.

OK, the only reason I ever went there is because it was the only place that will take my crappy insurance. I will put up with a lot for a small copay.
Over the years, here's what I've had - 2.5 hour wait, only to be told the hygienist was "at lunch" and couldn't do my teeth.?????? To be fair, it was 12:30, but my appointment was at 10. I had things to do too. I would have liked some lunch! She should have been able to see me if they were more efficient. Another hygienist squeezed me in after I pitched a fit. The "at lunch" gal is gone now.
My husband, after having unnecessary work done, has waited an hour, told them he had to go back to work, got charged for the appointment, and has never walked in since. He hates this place too. It's not ALWAYS a long wait, but be prepared for one.
I stuck it out for the cheap copay. Not anymore. They've been harassing me for years to get a crown, but I kept telling them I was fine without it. The last appointment I had, not only did I need the crown URGENTLY, but also I had a lot of cavities, some of them in my wisdom teeth which needed removing pronto, and all in all it would take 4 "stages" to get everything done in my messed up mouth where my teeth were, and I quote, "weird." Of course it was my choice but these were diagnosed problems and I was in dire straits. Did I want to schedule the oral surgery today?
No. No I did not. It's been more than 6 months, and I finally went to another dentist, paid the extra money and had a cleaning, x ray, and exam. I told them about my old appointment, and for the first time, was actually nervous about going to the dentist, because what if I really had issues, and had only made them worse by waiting?
No cavities. Beautiful teeth. Wisdom teeth are fine. They can see where I will need that crown in the future, but they're not even going to put it on the watch list yet - it's very very stable and doesn't need work, and the crown is probably 5 years out.
GET A SECOND OPINION. Also, be prepared to wait a long time.

First off I have to say I do not like going to the dentist! This office found a way to turn that around. Great front office staff, everyone very well put together (I work in the medical field) and hands down this front office crew seemed to work very well together and all very knowledgeable. The Dentist I saw was amazing, younger than me so I was a little gun shy but he was great. Best experience I've had at any dentist!

I love coming here. I have been coming here for two years! The staff is friendly and efficient. Lanette cleans my teeth and she is gentle, friendly, and timely. I have had a crown put on here and have had a lot of crowns before and this one was the easiest! They explain the cost of things needed to be done so you know your costs upfront and They have never pressured me into doing things until I can afford it. Enjoy all the staff and will continue to come for years to come!!

My husband and I recently got dental insurance through my employment and the Spanish Trail Dental Group ended up being our choice for our long awaited dental appointments. The staff and doctors, as well as nurses are all very friendly and pay very careful attention to our needs and concerns. I have been recently suffering terrible migraines caused my TMJ-D and Dr Stears was able to see me today on very short notice ! After a thorough consultation and treatment plan we are on our way to correcting this problem. I am very grateful as well for all of the work Dr White performed on my husband for wisdom teeth removal and post care ! We were pleasantly surprised that he not only called post op but also answered my husbands' questions through out the week by phone. We will be continuing our dental care through this facility :)

My husband and I had an appointment this morning at 10 AM. We arrived there about 25 minutes early because I thought we would have to fill out paperwork Did not have to as they retrieved our records from Rita Ranch Dental (NEVER, EVER go there!!!). We even were taken back 15 minutes early. I am hoping that all that went on today will continue to be as pleasant as today, especially after reading these reviews. I WILL post an update later when we are done with this process. Patricia was my husbands DA. She was wonderful. Dr. Hanna was the dentist and we were VERY impressed with him as well as Sherry who explained the prices of our dental plan. My husband had gone to Rita Ranch Dental 1 1/2 years ago starting out with having his bottom teeth removed to prepare for dentures. He went back several times over the next several months (after the healing process) with complaints of teeth not fitting right. They did next to nothing to fix the problems. (We had paid over $2000. for this. THANK GOD for the dental plan! We are on a fixed income). Dr. David Watkins, after all these months told my husband that he would put in a couple of implants to make the dentures work. (WHY weren't they WORKING?????) My husband asked him how much and he told him that he would do it for free. Made the appt. When they called to confirm, my husband asked how much just to make sure. Was told that it would be $3700.00! We feel that when Dr. Watkins wife (who is a dentist also) found out that he was going to fix the problem for free she hit the roof. (My husband had a "talk" with her & that is the conclusion we came to) That woman is a ....., well, I won't say 'cause I am a lady. I'm leading up to today . After all this time my husbands teeth STILL don't "work" which lead to today's visit. I CAN'T STAND my husband taking his teeth out and setting them on the dining table or if we are out, him putting them in his pocket. GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! I'm ready to hurl at every meal! Dr. Hanna told us today that the dentures he had gotten from Rita Ranch were, basically, temporaries and not PERMANENTS and no way were they fitting my husbands mouth! NO wonder the poor man has had soooooo many problems, not just with me, (sorry...just not understanding his problem) but with pain, teeth falling out, lifting, etc. We were NEVER told they were temps). I researched and found Spanish Trail Dental, making SURE that the 2 Dr. Watkins were not at this office as their work ethics and WORK are CRAP and they are DEFINENATLY just interested in the all mighty dollar no matter what.....don't care beans about their patients and apparently their work. If I had known I could have done a review on them back then I would SURELY have done so. I will update the rest of this process and hope all goes well. Dr. Hanna really seems to be VERY considerate. :) and assured us that my husbands new bottom dentures will be perfect.
