My First dentist visit after avoiding it for 6 years. The staff and Doctors there were extremely kind, empathetic, and didnt push any treatment I didn’t want to do. They present treatment in a manageable way. Extremely gentle and no pain although I needed a lot of work done. The office is filled with cutting edge technology. I highly recommend the practice.

This was my first visit and the front office staff were all immediately welcoming, very kind and warm. The office was impeccably clean, modern and offers the latest in sanitizing equipment, digital x-rays, and full mouth imaging technology.
PART 1: My dentist, Dr. Ann, was just amazing! She was so incredibly thorough, attentive, and exact in her ability to identify and diagnose problem areas. She took her time and addressed every little issue she saw and addressed every concern I had–all while explaining everything in such a caring way. I've never had such an amazing dental exam and thorough cleaning from such an HONEST dentist. Dr. Ann explained everything in detail AND showed me everything on the digital x-ray AND on the full mouth digital scans of my teeth. Wow! To see inside your mouth and every surface of each tooth in that kind of high-definition 3D detail is truly enlightening. You'll never take your dentist's advice for granted ever again after seeing the results of your dental exam like that! And I love that Ladera Dentistry's prices are so reasonable. I needed old crown's replaced and Dr. Ann developed a treatment plan to help me get this accomplished at a surprisingly reasonable cost. No high pressure "get it done now" sales tactics. No cash "discount" prices. Just the honest and best price right up front.
PART 2: My 10yo daughter's dentist Dr. Lily was just as amazing too! My daughter has never been a fan of dentists because she's a bit of a scaredy cat and sensitive to pain. But she said Dr. Lily's touch was light as a feather, or more like a lily:) She said she was so kind and explained everything and nothing hurt. So now she says she's happy to go back to the dentist anytime...as long as it's Dr. Lily only! Something she's never, ever said. So Dr. Lily better not go anywhere because she is stuck with this 10yo patient!

I absolutely love it here at Ladera dentistry. I have been working here for a year and a half with Dr Mai, and the team that I work with are amazing. I waited 10+ years to get my front teeth fixed. Dr Mai was able to place veneers on all my front teeth and they look amazing! I get compliments on them all the time. I show our patients the beautiful work as an example of Dr Mai's craftsmanship!

Like so many, I have had previous negative experiences when sitting in the dentist's chair. Dr. Mai's office was highly recommended by a family member, so I decided to go. I have not been disappointed. The staff is welcoming and very helpful. Dr. Mai is professional and very understanding of all those "dentist fears" people can have. She takes the time to listen and that is a very critical skill in any doctor.
I know it sounds strange to give a 5 star rating of "Loved It" to a dentist, but considering my previous experiences with other dentists, Dr. Mai deserves the 5 stars.

An update to my review. It’s been over 5 years! A whole bunch of cleanings, some veneers and soon Invisalign. I just moved to Ladera Ranch and needed a new dentist. I did some reviewing and found Ladera Dentistry. Not only is the location very convenient but the staff was so welcoming it felt like a resort! To top if off they also do their jobs really well. I think I probably had my best cleaning ever - she was scraping away till every bit of plaque was removed while wearing binocular lenses - serious cleaning. Dr. Mai is also wonderful. She thoroughly examined me and didn't pressure sell any whitening systems....I really appreciate a dentist who isn't trying to upsell me all the time. In any case....if you're in the area, I highly recommend them.
