Needed a new dentist in the area and Dr. Mahzoon was excellent. Easy to schedule and sign up as a new patient, thorough cleaning, and answered all my questions

Hygienist did wonderful job. She and the Dr both explained things thoroughly and clearly

I always recieve outstanding dental care from Dr. Mahzoom and hygenist Megumi Koda. They use state of the art equipment with care, precision and a gentle touch.

After 4 years of avoiding the dentist, Dr Mahzoon did an amazing job of fixing up all my cavities. The team was very comforting and overall it was a great experience. My dental anxiety isn't gone, but this dental office makes it so much easier for me to get my teeth done! Highly recommend!

UPDATE 2022:
I won my case agains Dr. Mahzoon. I forwarded the judgment to the Dental Board who is continuing their investigation. I hope no one experience this. I did all I could to avoid court, and try to reason with her as you can see in my original post. I never imagined I would encounter someone so stubborn and willing to sacrifice her professional license and reputation because she was unwilling to accept the facts.
I wish her the best and I hope she improves her practice.

UPDATE 2021:
I have filed a Law Suit against Dr. Shanam Mahzoon. We will be had Mediation scheduled on behalf of the court which would've given us the opportunity to come to a settlement with assistance by 3rd party, but she did not show. After calling her office her assistance said the Dr. would prefer to go to court.
Dental Board has moved my complaint to the Enforcement Office. They stated that they have enough evidence to pursue further investigation on Dr. Mahzoon. Dental Board rep explained that they could no longer provide me with an update on the investigation because it is now similar to a criminal case and information will be available after their investigation is complete.
Dr. Mahzoon has continued to deny she did anything wrong when all the evidence shows she damaged my mouth, was deceiving in submitting my claim to my insurance, and over charging even though she was in my Dental Insurance Network. I hope no one else has to experience something like this.

2019
I was told my insurance didn't cover my crown installation. I paid out of pocket, but later found out that they never submitted a claim with my insurance, and received more charges months after the work was completed. During the crown installation the tooth next to the repairs was shaved down in order to make the crown fit. The crown was over worked and shaved so much that my bite was uneven. There was a large gap between crown and healthy teeth and I returned for repair. She forgot to repair the gap and ended up shaving down the rest of my teeth in order to make my bite even. She didn't communicate with me about the process. During the crown installation she blew the air in order to clean the area on a recently open bare root which caused me so much pain. She kept hitting my healthy teeth with her tools, she chatted with her assistant about family which made me supper uncomfortable, once the work was done they just walked out of the room without any discussion about the work performed or allow me to ask questions. Bedside manners were unprofessional.
After months of following up with the front desk to submit my claim with my insurance I had to call the doctor in order to get the claim submitted. I was also told I needed a deep cleaning which is true but during the basic cleaning they didn't clean the build up.
I went for a second option and crown needs to be replaced, the tooth that was shaved down needs repair because it was installed so tightly that it will cause more damage in the future.
Do yourself a favor and see Dr. Marc Schwartz located in Belmont. He is so professional, takes pride in his work, explains the process before and after, takes time to answer questions, and he expects the rest of his team to have the same high standards. I regret not seeing him before my teeth were damaged.
I attached pictures of my molars before and after the crown installation. You can see clearly the molar next to the crown shaved down and the crown being crammed in. I forgot to take pictures of the crown that was overworked, but can show that if anyone requests it.

I have been to many different dentists through my life as I’ve had some challenges. I always felt shamed or unsure of what I was signing up for. United Dental is the first time I feel taken care of. They are open, honest and talk through options. My teeth and gums are the healthiest they have been in many years!
