Riverside Plaza Dentistry

Dr. Bui has been our family dentist for over a year. We have been happy with the service and professionalism we receive. I’ve started Invisalign about 12 months ago, Dr. Bui has done a great job with my follow ups and I am happy with my progress. Brianna in the front office is always helpful, attentive with our scheduling and answers any questions we might have.

Unfortunately, I am not able to leave this dental office a good review. My only advice is to listen to the other reviews about overpricing and just questionably unethical behavior. I would like to note that I use to work as a front desk person (the insurance benefits rep) a few years ago and I even let them know that before starting my appointment.

Here are somethings that I did not like about this office:

1. Even though I explained to them that I use to work as a Benefits Coordinator, they still tried to up charge me. I gave them my benefits information beforehand and when Olga came in, she pretended to have my benefits information. She tried to explain to me that their in house CEREC crowns were cheaper than my insurance. When I asked to see the breakdown, they were trying to charge me $1300 for a CEREC crown and that under my insurance it was $1500 for a lab crown. I doubled checked and found out that under my insurance, the crown was about $350. I even told her I had a bad experience with CEREC while working for the Dental office and preferred a lab crown. I had to call my insurance company during my visit to make sure that the prices she quoted me was correct. When I told Olga about the price difference, she then tried to brush it off as a "system error"...right....because I never heard that one before. Everyone that works in Dental knows that HMO insurances charges within a certain range. So the fact that their system stated it would cost me $1500, should have been a red flag to her...AT BEST, she just didn't bother to double check my insurance plan in her system, which no matter what is a HUGE red flag.

2. I kept telling them I did not want to book my 6 month check up. I kept coming into for work and every time they would ask me. I have a very busy work schedule and my working hours change all the time...well I explained that at least 6 times and they kept saying that I could reschedule in the future but I kept declining it. Guess what...I get an email about...you guessed it...my 6 month check up. They booked an appointment after explaining my situation to all 3 front desk personal without my consent.

3. The dentist is nice but during my exam something she said really, REALLY, rubbed me the wrong way. Her assistant said "will this be a composite?" meaning "will we do a filling on this tooth?" and her response was "This is an HMO so it will be an Inlay". Basically because I have an HMO plan, they wanted to charge me for an inlay, which is outside of my coverage benefits when a filling would have cost me around $50, the inlay would have cost me almost $400. The worst part is I TOLD THEM I USE TO WORK FOR A DENTAL OFFICE. I knew what they were saying and they still decided to act like this. I even asked her if we could do a filling and she brushed me off. It's completely unethical for a dentist to recommended treatment based on my insurance and the worst part is that she just didn't care to say it in front of me.

4. I suffer from extreme TMJ, I had to ask her to be gentle several times but she was so aggressive during some of my appointments that she caused me so much pain several days after my appointments. She knew I had a lot of pain because she had to prescribe me pain meds to help with the pain during my initial visit.

5. The front desk does not communicate with each other. I had to schedule a consultation with a specialist and while Briana told me it was free, Olga was trying to charge me. I explained it to Olga when I came in for my appointment and she said she would talk to Briana. I left my consultation and all Olga said was "have a nice day!" so I thought it was sorted out. 6 weeks later I get a notice in the mail that I owed $45.00. It took 4 days for Olga to call back, even though I would call everyday. She tried to lecture me about my insurance plan (ironic, isn't it? the girl that couldn't bother to check on my insurance plan in the first place, is now giving me a lecture on how my insurance works) and that she would wave this fee as a "one time exception".

Gaylene was amazing. She was able to get me an appointment right away. I am not a fan of dentist offices and this office always listens and cares about their patients.

I visited 2 other dentist offices before finding the perfect one for me. I had the same dentist for 40 years and needed to find a replacement that I felt just as comfortable with.Thank You Dctr Bui and staff for your compassion, kindness, understanding and professionalism!

Have had a couple appointments here and love it! All the doctors and RDH’s, specifically Kieley, are wonderful. Kieley is so sweet and made me feel comfortable and at ease during my appointments! Will be requesting her from now on!

I highly recommend this place for bringing your children here. They are really kind and helpful and do a great job. Everyone is helpful here. Genesis and Dr.E made my daughter feel comfortable and relaxed.

Really enjoy coming to Riverside Plaza Denistry. I have been coming here for years and have had a great experience everytime! The receptionist always have the best customer service, Olga is the best, and the Denist always do a great job with my teeth. I love this place!!! Highly recommended!

I have been coming to Riverside Plaza Dentistry for a while now and will continue my dental care here for life. All the staff is very thorough, friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. I was cared for today by Dr. Enciso, Diego, Rebecca, Briana. It was the best checkup and cleaning I have received in awhile. Thanks for all you do guys!

I made an appt and they were able to get me in real quick, Diana the dental assistant was really nice and she took my X-rays really quick and was explaining me everything that’s I was going through.

The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I enjoy my experience here at this dentist office. Olga especially has been very helpful and amazing!
