I am so happy I found this place! I've always had access to really good dentists and going was never a fear of mine... Until I ended up at the comfort dental down the road. They completely messed up some fillings they had done and long story short, over the course of nearly a year, I developed jaw pains that were getting worse. It got to the point where I couldn't even open my mouth wide enough to eat, the most I could open my mouth without my jaw locking was 2 inches (maybe 2 1/2 on a good day) so I decided enough was enough, I was tired of being in pain everyday. I debated on going back in to comfort dental to see if they would fix it but I was terrified and decided that I felt more comfortable going elsewhere since I knew I obviously couldn't trust them. Well, then I ended up at crossroads because it was right down the street and I am so happy I made the decision to come here instead! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The ladies at the front desk were accommodating and so sweet and even got me in for an appointment an hour after I called! My doctor explained to me what they (comfort dental) did wrong with my fillings and reshaped and filed them down. Within 15 minutes after she reshaped them I could open my mouth almost all the way. What a huge relief! Now it's been 24 hours and I can open my mouth all the way with minimal pain in my jaw. I never knew that something as little as a filling could completely mess up everything else around it! I am so thankful that I found a dentist that I can trust... Now I no longer have to put off my dental needs and I look forward to getting the rest of my fillings taken care of!

I have had the worst experiences with my previous dentist, so I have pretty bad anxiety getting dental work done. However, Dr. Ting & the rest of the staff never fail to make sure that I’m doing okay during and after my visits. I even received a phone call from Dr. Ting the day after my appointment to make sure that I was doing alright. This dentistry is unmatched in every aspect & I could not recommend it enough. Thank you to Dr. Ting & the rest of the staff!

While the facility and all staff were friendly and courteous, the experience was overshadowed by the dentist informing me I had in the area of 9 cavities. Unknown to the dentist was the fact that I had just left the military which consisted of extensive x-rays and a clean bill of health. Thinking perhaps the military dentist was wrong, I decided to go ahead with letting them work on one half of my supposed cavities. The experience was pleasant enough until he told me that 1) he had to pulp cap a tooth and 2) they used material not approved by my insurance. I ended up paying around $500 over what was quoted, which is a shame.

Fast forward a month and I learn that I qualify for VA dental. So I head to the VA for my initial checkup and they take some more x-rays. This is the fun part: I now have x-rays from before Crossroads and after, including the ones from Crossroads that I requested (but was not shown when I was told I had so many cavities). I explain to the VA dentist that I'd recently had cavities on one side of my mouth filled and need to get the other side taken care of as per Crossroads assessment.

The VA doctor shows me my x-rays, both before and after Crossroads work, and explains in great detail that there was nothing that needed to be done. He explained and showed that I had zero cavities. He apologized and explained that unfortunately some private practices engage in this type of behavior.

I understand the staff is friendly, the equipment is great, but these are unethical business processes they've engaged in. My drilling into my teeth for no reason, even so far as to pulp cap one of them, along with them informing me this could turn into a future root canal (how convenient for future business), is highly unethical.

I regret having trusted this dentistry and encourage prospective clients to consider this and other one-star reviews that are strikingly similar in nature.

New to medicaid, and after having a bad experience with a previous Colorado Springs dentist using it... began wondering if I should just suffer until I had insurance again. So glad I found this place. Not only was every single person there knowledgeable and professional, the office was very clean and bright. They were able to fit me in last minute, took time to answer all of my questions and explain everything... while still taking appointments back on time! Being concerned about what medicaid would even cover, one of the front desk ladies called on my behalf to verify what would and wouldn't be covered while I was getting x-rays. I can now eat and drink any temperature foods or drinks, and sleep through the night. Even received a call the next day to see if I was feeling better. Dr. Tyng and the whole team are first class!

I've been going to Crossroads Family Dentistry for years and have not been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and Dr. Tyng is an all-around awesome dentist. Inside the building has a professional but relaxed atmosphere that makes going to the dentist more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

So I have been going here over a year. I have been having tooth pain so I made an appointment. They took my blood pressure and it was high. Well, its always high at dentist and doctors and it has been well noted that this is the case (white coat syndrome). I explained this to the hygienist I had never met and she conferred with the dentist (Hartman) I had also never met, nor did she ever come into the room. They said they could not do any work until my blood pressure was lower. I asked if my doctor could just write a note. They acted like I was crazy for suggesting this and said I should go into my doctors right away because something is seriously wrong with me. While I appreciate the fact they care about my health, what am I supposed to do now, my records indicate my blood pressure is always high at the dentist. So, I just let my teeth rot? I have also had Dr. T be very rude to me in the past when I brought up a cosmetic issue, he actually argued with me, he apologized later but the damage had been done. I'm over the place and don't intend to go back.
