Atwood Advanced Dentistry

Every time I ask the same dental assistant the same question about the completion of my dental work I receive a different answer. Originally I was told 6-8 weeks, at week 8 I’m still unsure as I’m going in for yet another mold when I was told I would have my teeth by now. I now have severe malnutrition that has caused painful cracks around my mouth and I’m always tired. I miss food, I’m an emotional wreck and have paid thousands of dollars ($4.5 for the dentures and about $4 to have just the bottoms pulled and the temporary bottom denture) out of pocket to still wonder when is this going to end. I do get a big happy smile from the woman every time she books another appointment another 3 weeks out while I leave crying wishing I could just eat again. I’ve since found several dentists that make dentures within a month. I’m hopeful I’ll get mine in maybe another month or two or at least my money back at this point, as her smile really doesn’t help my situation at all. I highly recommend finding someone else.

It is so difficult to find a specialist who knows what they’re doing- at least that is what I experienced prior to meeting Dr. Atwood. I went to a non-specialized cosmetic dentist for full top row crowns. I was in a lot of pain daily and couldn’t figure out why. Dr. Atwood worked efficiently and patiently to correct issues of placement with the prior crowns and made me an entire new set. I haven’t been an easy patient- I metabolize lidocaine too quickly and he has to work super fast to get the job done- he has had to work outside of the box for my unique issues and truly has done a fantastic job at it. He and his team have saved me from ever increasing bone loss and tons of pain.

My former crowns were coming loose for no reason and my life revolved around pain until this office resolved it for me. As a public figure, it is so important for me to resolve my dental issues. When thousands of people see your smile daily, it matters.

Former dentistry had caused ongoing damage for me that was only worsening. Dr. Atwood went out of his way working with a local endodontist to help her remove my temporary crowns when my root damage required additional root canals right in the middle of his treatment plan. He drove across town to her office and showed her how to remove the temporary teeth and how to put them back on.

I’d recommend that anyone reading this know two things- 1) If you want implants or restorative dentistry of any kind, see a specialist and choose THIS specialist; 2) This dentist is acclimatized to unusual situations and will work very hard to get the job done perfectly and comfortably, even if you’re a tough case.

His entire team show profound compassion, precision, visionary thinking and ethics. I’ll post a photo soon when my permanent crowns are complete.

Dr Atwood is amazing. He is honest, and very personable. He made me feel comfortable, and at ease with his treatment reccomendations. He explained things well, and clearly had pride in the quality of his work. I feel confident that he is the dentist who will best help me resolve my dental issues, and needs.

Doctor Jake and his entire team have outstanding personalities and made me feel very welcome from the first time I entered their very clean & comfortable facility. As a new client of prosthodontics and Dr. Jake's methods; I was so very satisfied with his level of informative evaluation of my needs, (i.e., explaining my dental needs, the process by which we would achieve my goals, and why he goes about completing our goals in the order in which he does), his professionalism, and ability to do exactly what he says he will do exactly when he says he will do it.
My medical procedures were by no means pleasant; oral extractions and subsequent dental procedures are painful. However, my overall experience toward receiving the beautiful--perfectly straight glisteningly white--smile that I have today was made infinitely more tolerable by including Jake Atwood and his team as the leader of my dental care!

Dr. Atwood has built me a fantastic partial. My case was some what difficult and he made sure that it was done correctly, used the best partners to help make it. It's been almost a year and I haven't had one problem at all! He gave me back my smile!
