Efficient High-tech Personable Professional

First trip here! I will tell you. Given I don’t like dental work at all! These people rock! Jordan did a great job of introducing me to the facility doing all the normal first time dental stuff. He was fast AND efficient. Did a great job on x-rays and cleaning. Plus He explained the the probe measures perfectly. The place is high tech, clean and efficient. Oh yes, very personable and friendly. Dr. Waddell is great too. I claim both of these people as mine! I was told I have an issue to watch and she explained it perfectly. Great job to both of them. Based on everything I went through I would guess everyone there is professional and so their job just as good as mine. Exemplary is the best word to use!

Friendly Staff Great Service Clean Teeth

I really enjoyed Ruby Canyon Dental! I scheduled a one-time visit to have a cleaning before I moved back East. Karen, who checked me in, was very friendly and even looked up my out of state insurance benefits for me. Angie was the dental assistant that cleaned and flossed my teeth and she was absolutely lovely. Angie has a very warm and welcoming energy and I really appreciated her enthusiasm. I didn't get to speak with the gum specialist or doctor much, but they were both very nice as well. My teeth feel super clean and I'd definitely recommend Ruby Canyon!

Tried a new dentist today in Grand Junction, my 3rd in 4 years, and by far the best experience and staff, from front office to dental assistants to dentist, I’ve ever had! The front area is very nice, comfortable and clean. The office uses the latest technology and software, from new patient onboarding and follow-ups to x-rays. The cleaning process was very concise and efficient. You’re in and out in no time due to the tag teaming of staff that does the work. Thank you for a great experience!

Friendly Staff Punctual Schedule Painless Cleaning

It was a pleasure to have my teeth cleaned at Ruby Canyon Dental. Everyone at the desk is so nice and the schedules are punctual. Jordan did a great job cleaning my teeth, totally painless. Also his cuteness doesn't hurt any.

Outstanding Dental Work Great Hygienists Clean and Modern

The dental work is outstanding!! The hygienist are outstanding too. The office management is where the improvement is needed. Billing is not a problem.
I use to need to take valium to go to the dentist, not any more. Everything is so clean and modern. I don’t have an anxiety to go but I get frustrated with the office management. I called when I will be a couple of minutes late, the hygienist wasn’t told. I do recommend this for dental work to my friends.

Poor Service Incompetent Dentist Bad Quality of Care

Would give this place 0 stars if I could. Last year, I needed to get 3 fillings placed. I showed up exactly on time for my scheduled appointment, and then had to wait 45 minutes to be seen. Then, when I was finally seen, the dentist was very rushed throughout the entire procedure. My fillings were not placed correctly, and I had to come back the next week to get them reshaped so my teeth contacted properly.
Needless to say, I did not return for follow-up cleanings. Now, my new dentist is having to replace the filling placed by the dentist at Ruby Canyon because food keeps getting caught in the filling that was poorly shaped and I am at risk of getting another cavity again.
Overall, they did not seem very thorough and seemed more interested in the number of patients they could see, rather than the quality of care they provided.

Great Service Trustworthy Highly Recommended

I have had "not so pleasant" dentist experiences, but this place...I'm so grateful I found it! I trust them and truly feel like they care about my concerns. Dr. Chelsea and (I think Amari?) Sorry I'm so bad with names, were FANTASTIC! Would highly recommend!

Professional Friendly Great advice Best

I highly recommend the team at Ruby Canyon! They were professional, friendly and provided great advice on my options. I was traveling from overseas and developed incredible jaw pain. After determining that a molar's root had died, they gave me the option to pull it or root canal/cap. Wanting to save the tooth I opted for the latter, but during the process they discovered a crack that would compromise the root canal/cap. Sadly it meant the tooth had to be pulled, but I appreciated their being "light on their feet" and changing tacks when they had to. Not the best thing to deal with on holiday, but they were the best!

Poor Customer Service Lack of Knowledge Inadequate Emergency Care

I will start by saying that when I started going to Ruby Canyon I was quite pleased with my experience, but I also didn't have much wrong with my teeth. Each individual was pleasant enough. Shelby, one of their hygienists figured out I had cement stuck between my teeth from a cap I had a number of years ago and was able to remove it and I had so much relief. I asked to be scheduled with her each time.
As a new patient they were able to get me next day and get me started.

I continued to go to my my 6mo check ups and I had to reschedule one, but they couldn't get me in for months. In looking at their website, if I was a new customer they could get me in next day. It made no sense to me. When I got there I discovered I was not scheduled with the hygienist I requested. While this isn't a deal breaker for me, it would have been nice to have been told that.

I was contemplating bariatric surgery so when the dentist came in I asked what I needed to be aware of or pay special attention to due to that, I was told very snottily to "Brush and Floss"

I decided to have bariatric surgery and called to ask if any of the dentists had specific knowledge around bariatric patients giving that dentist the benefit of the doubt that they may not be knowledgable in that area. I was basically told the same thing and to chew sugar free gum. (Most bariatric patients don't chew gum) It would have been fine for them to say to me "We don't have knowledge or experience in this area."

In my most recent appointment I mentioned that something was going on with my lower teeth that I though might be chunks of plaque coming off my lower teeth in the back and how it startled me. I was told to get one of the oral B type toothbrushes. So i did.

Flash forward to driving out of town for the holiday, the back of my tooth felt funny and I felt it, thinking I had a piece of food on the surface of my tooth... only to come back with a large chunk of my tooth on my finger. I was absolutely panicked for so many reasons. I have never had anything like this happen in my life. I tried to call the office (it was a Saturday) there was no emergency contact to ask questions to when calling.

I cautiously & patiently waited until Monday morning to call. There is no option to talk to a real human. You are told to text if you have questions. I text and asked if I could please talk to someone. To which I got a text back telling me to visit a dentist out of town if its an emergency or schedule and appointment when I get back. They did try to call me once I expressed my upset at this response but I didn't feel I could trust much or that they couldn't truly care less about me as a patient. This is absolutely unacceptable customer service.

If you are a person that has very minimal needs for your teeth and enjoy a clean office and don't mind being just a number... you may find that this office fits the bill.

If customer service and having a relationship with your dental professionals is a priority for you, I would suggest considering other options.
