Pagosa Smiles is an amazing dental office. Dr. Rutherford, Judy, Pam, and Selena were kind, professional, and accommodating. Never before have I had such a wonderful experience. I harbor a lot of anxiety when going to the dentist due to past traumatic incidents. Fortunately every staff member at Pagosa Smiles was empathetic and willing to put me at ease. In fact, the Dr. and staff were so kind that I got fitted for crowns on my first visit. The procedure was smooth and painless. I will definitely continue to get all cleanings and work done at Pagosa Smiles!

The front office staff are all professional, courteous and go out of their way to be friendly, warm and welcoming at every visit.

Dr Jordan Rutherford is an excellent dentist in all respects. He has warm personal interaction skills and demonstrates a genuine interest in the lives of his patients. He communicates clearly in discussing his findings, treatment plan and answers questions regarding your care in understandable language.

Dr Rutherford's professional and technical skills are quite evident, and he always makes sure that his patients are comfortable throughout any procedures that may be required.

His chair side assistants are obviously professionally trained to the highest degree. They are also friendly, interactive and supportive throughout the course of your visit.

As a team, Dr Rutherford and his staff allow patients to feel confident that their dental problems will be thoroughly addressed and professionally resolved.

I am very pleased with the care I have received at Pagosa Smiles and would recommend their practice to anyone requiring dental care.

Wonderful dental office! Whether my visits are for a cleaning, or having specific work done on my teeth; I always have a comfortable experience. Today, I had a few fillings done and didn't feel the anesthetic process until it was already done. The staff at Pagosa Smiles are a pleasure to interact with, and demonstrate 10/10 quality in their work!

Very nice staff, get the job done. They definitely have a deal with FastBraces. Everything from the website, the building, the questionnaire, etc are clearly built to advertise and push you towards getting Fastbraces. The end goal seems to be to find something extra for you to purchase from them. Head dentist might have said two words to me when he came in for the final check. Good place, gets the job done.

Great dentist would recommend to anyone. I've had terrible experience with other places in town, but here at pagosa smiles it's far from that. Fast and painless great work. Awesome friendly staff that are professionals and know what they are doing. I definitely won't go anywhere else for my dental work anymore. Only pagosa smiles fromnow on. The best in town.

This place was a magical experience! I went through their fast braces program, and I am very happy with not only the professionalism, but also the speed and technology of this system is amazing! Do not waste your time with other braces… seriously!

Pagosa Smiles has become my dentist in Pagosa Springs. I started my Fastbraces in March of 2022 and by July of the same year they had completely improved my position of the teeth and therefore my Smile. The staff along with Dr. Rutherford is great to work with. Each person I have met at their office is caring and professional. A complete written estimate was given to me before I started the program. I give them 5 stars for their great service and kindness.

Pagosa Smiles staff are all so welcoming and friendly. Susie has been my hygienist for several years and she always makes me feel comfortable. I put off getting a crown for a year as I was hesitant to get any procedures after a bad experience elsewhere. I was reassured when I received x-rays AND photos of the large filling I had with multiple cracks in it. (Very obvious diagnosis to me). I was given an itemized price for the crown as well as pictures and diagrams of which tooth was affected. On the day of the procedure I was greeted by the wonderful front desk staff, went back within minutes of my appointment time and had a great explanation of what to expect. I was even able to participate in picking out the closest tooth color that would match my current teeth. During the procedure pictures were taken again of the decay under the filling and around the cracks. Once the decay was removed I was able to look at the remaining tooth again before a temporary crown was placed. Thereafter I was given adequate pain medications before I left and a handout of care after instructions. Once the local anesthetic wore off I had no pain, only mild sensitivity. The permanent crown was placed 10 days later and I’m very satisfied with the look and feel. Thanks Dr. Jordan Rutherford for restoring my confidence in dentists. I definitely recommend Pagosa Smiles to my family and friends!

Was told they would do a cleaning for a special price of $99.00 and then evaluate my daughter’s front chipped tooth. I explained she had no insurance and the injury came from a recent violent assault. They did not clean her teeth, evaluated and sold her $8.00 toothpaste and charged $100.00, which they used my credit for. The full treatment plan is estimated at over $800.00, because the doctor has a “family to feed”. This is a Christian based office and I thought they would have shown a little more compassion and possible financial lenience for my daughter’s situation. I am disappointed and will not be recommending Pagosa Smiles to anyone.
