Where to even start.. okay, so for the TL;DR: Pagosa Smiles is the best dentist experience I’ve ever had, bar none. Go see Dr. Rutherford if you need dental work and are in the area.
Longer version:
I was on a month long overlanding trip and while camping in the Pagosa Springs area, cracked a molar and was in excruciating pain. I called around and no one could take me within a couple days except the fine folks at this dental office. They scheduled me the following day, a Friday. Thank the heavens, as I could not last the weekend.
I was greeted with warmth and genuine care for the situation I was in, understanding it was an emergency and I could not travel home to a different state to have it done. A root canal was needed, just great.
In about 3 hours, from the moment I walked in the door, the procedure was complete. Miraculously, like seriously I could not believe, that I had no pain. Some tenderness, sure. That’s expected. That same morning I hiked around chimney rock, and wandered around nearby wolf creek.. all without any lingering pain from the procedure.
I continued the rest of my trip through Utah and back to Arizona completely filled to the brim with adventure, all because Dr. Rutherford and the folks at Pagosa smiles took wonderful care of
me.

I chipped my front tooth snow skiing and they got me in right away! The compassion that they show is very comforting and they clearly do their best to please. High tech instruments revealed some serious issues I had that headed off some root canals I was obviously going to have one day. I Really appreciate how thorough they are. My new replacement tooth was matched perfectly and promptly put in to my approval. Happy Customer!!

Absolute worst dental office ever!!!! Went in for emergency & they treated me for regular exam & x-rays. When I stopped the dentist to ask what he was doing, he had no knowledge of my emergency & didn't notice the swelling!!!! They acted like I was crazy when I didn't want to pay for what I didn't want!!!!
