I have been coming here for the past 8 years. Yesterday was the first time I asked to be billed. The reason I requested this is because my last two visit I was told I owe a balance. Both times I asked how is it possible when I pay the full amount on each day of service. They informed me it is due to them requesting payment information from the insurance company and then when they submit it the insurance ends up paying less than what they thought. Well the women told me I could not be billed for my services so I left and went straight to another dentist office.
Now to why I'm giving them a poor rating. For YEARS I always asked why am I always paying for my cleanings when I have 2 covered a year. They informed me I have to always get a special cleaning going forwards because I had a deep cleaning years ago and the insurance company does not cover the cleaning I have. So they said I would have to pay $68 for the cleaning and if I get irrigation it will be $110 which they recommend but I don't have to get it. I have Aetna PPO plan they informed me the total cost for two fillings will be $305, aetna is paying $108 and i have to pay S197. This doesn't make any sinus to me because my dental plans covers 80%. On top of that the last time I got fillings I paid the cost in full at the office but was told i owed more on my next visit because of the insurance not covering some of the cost.
I literally drove to another dentist office where I was told my cleaning is free, since it is my 2nd one for the year. Also Aetna covered 80% of my fillings and I only had to pay the 20%. I got the same exact work and paid a fraction of what this place was trying to charge me and it was not because of any discounts or a poor quality office, it is because they billed me based off of my insurance correctly.
I asked the new office why this office would charge me so much. They informed they are not sure because I have insurance and it's a good one but that this office sounds like they were charging extra and higher just cause and most likely adding codes for things I really did not need. 80% of 305 is not $197!

I will say the office is super clean. The staff is also nice and I have had a lot of work done here with no complaints until now. I do recommend that everyone double checks with their insurance company and shop around for prices before going to them. I personally am NEVER returning back to them. If you do go see Shonda (i'm sure I spelled her name wrong, sorry) she has an amazing personality! Dr. Angela Berkovich is also a very nice dentist.
In all the office is a great office but something about the billing just makes me feel uneasy.

I just had my first visit there yesterday. They are extremely friendly and very informative. I had a great cleaning and even a follow up the call today to make sure everything was ok. I will definitely recommend Dr. Berkovich. I actually came into the office as a referral.

If you’re thinking of coming here for a dental appointment don’t. Constantly switching appointment times. Trying to add extra services last minute. Rude staff/dentist. If i could give no stars I would.
