I have been visiting Dr. Shroff’s office close to 25 yrs, twice yearly. I moved away but still travel back. Due to the pandemic I had not gone since last year and I was very anxious about going …but everything went so very well! I am very pleased with Dr. Shroff’s practice in all aspects. We have Humana HMO and were happy to find a very competent office manager/assistant in Shannon who gave us a detailed breakdown of all potential costs with every procedure to avoid surprise bills.
Dr. Shroff is a very knowledgeable dentist with patience and integrity. He has the patient’s interest in mind first and foremost. My husband had two crowns done and I know that he cares for the patient as he was trying to save the nerve on one tooth by advising not to do a root canal where it was not absolutely necessary. I also had a crown and a filling done and I am very happy with Dr. Shroff’s work. We strongly recommend Optum Dental and will continue to go here for years to come.

To Whom it May Concern,
During dental work conducted by Dr. Shroff, he neglected to notice I had a white filling from a previous cavity. The white filling was clearly seen via x-ray prior to the work being completed. He seemed to have forgot the white filling was there and cracked it. He attempted to fix the cracked filling, only making the situation worse. He not only permanently damaged my mouth which has led to never-ending pain and discomfort; he refilled my tooth with an outdated metal filling rather than doing the right thing and replacing the filling with the upgraded material I originally had before he cracked it. Not only was the attempted correction a huge failure, it has now resulted in over $3,000 in new dental fees to correct his mistake and eliminate the day-to-day pain he has caused me. I understand dentists are human and things happen. I approached him about paying for the fees my insurance would not cover and he not only shut me down, he was extremely rude and unprofessional about the situation. I am now in the process of filing the necessary complaints and proceeding with legal action. I understand not many dentists take HMO insurance plans, but I would have been better off completely ignoring my dental needs rather than attending his office. Dr. Shroff should have done the right thing, taken responsibility for his failure, and helped his previous patient in a time of need. Instead of doing what was right, Dr. Shroff became angry with me and denied the whole situation ever occurred. Please be advised.

I chose to see Dr. Shroff after doing some research on dental offices in my area that take my insurance, and I will continue to go to his office because of him and his staff (Hi guys!). Unlike some of the 4 other dentists I've seen in the area, Dr. Shroff didn't make me feel bad about the problems I was having with my teeth, and he did a great job with my extractions. Until the time comes that I move out of the area, I will continue to go to his office.
