Dr. Palola is very caring and knows her stuff. Like Dr. Hurtado, she is very patient. I am very scared of any doctor and appointment and having this kind of doctor always helps. I especially enjoyed having Grace, Andrienne, and Carly as my teeth cleaning specialists. Also, Kim and Thalea are great assistants. It is nice to have pretty faces around that's for sure. I am one big ugly so it is nice to see nice shiny faces to greet me. Keep up the good work. Please don't take this as weird or creepy, no intention of that at all.

Great dentist and very friendly staff from the gals at the front to the hygienist that cleans my teeth. Office is kept up clean which is very important. I also like that there's a tv for each chair so you can watch whatever channel you want while having your teeth cleaned.

Who likes going to the Dentist? I’d imagine not too many would raise their hand for that. But I think I’ve found a place that just might sway you otherwise. Dr. Hurtado and his team are unmatched in their practice because they have redefined the customer experience. They are arguably the best in the State of Hawaii. Here’s why:
State of the Art Equipment:
The office is designed in a modern look. Opaque glass doors, white leather chairs, dark wood cabinet separates, crisp natural looking floors and a TV in every dental chair. The lounge is equipped with a variety of reading material; it almost feels like the waiting room of a spa (without the refreshments). The dental instruments and x-ray technology is top of the line and is performed right at the seat of your dental chair! They also have instruments that use light technology that can photograph micro-cavities. I was always told that I had no cavities until I came to this office and they showed me a micro one! The entire area smells and looks implacably clean yet relaxing and warm. It shows that the team cares about their workspace but it also shows that they care more about the comfort of their customers.
Post Appointment:
If you are in for your routine 6 month cleaning, you will be given the option to purchase a fluoride treatment. The treatment will involve selecting a foam flavor of your choice (fruit punch, mint, etc.) and it will be applied to a mouth tray which will fasten to your teeth for 4 mins. On your yearly checkup, you also have the option to purchase an oral inspection to make sure your mouth is as healthy as can be. Be sure to confirm the cost of each additional service you purchase because they are separate of what is covered by insurance (at least for mine it is). When your service is complete you are escorted to the reception desk and your hygienist will present a verbal summary of the service you have received and your total for the day will be calculated for you. You will also receive a goodie bag which will include an amazing tooth brush and floss. Receiving this gift twice a year has removed my need to buy a quality tooth brush.
Incentive Program:
Get someone else to sign up as a customer and you’ll receive a $30 gift card from selected stores (I personally like Starbucks) or you can add it as credit to your account. Keep bringing in customers and your earnings may be substantial! I have yet to meet another Dentist that has a program like this but it was definitely one that caught my eye.
Charitable Giving:
Each year Dr. Hurtado and his team fundraise for Smiles for Life (google it) where you would purchase a teeth whitening program and the proceeds are then donated to the charity. In 2015, they campaigned for Make A Wish Foundation with an incentive program. Every $100 donated per day will put Dr. Hurtado in a Tutu. lol
Customer Service:
If you’ve read this far into the review, there’s no doubt that Dr. Hurtado is an incredible leader with an extraordinary team. The attention to detail in their care is unmatched and you will receive the best professional treatment out there. They take the time to get to know you as a person and not just a customer. In fact, my hygienist Grace and I exchange traveling tips all the time! They have also created a payment program if dental work is out of your monthly budget and (for larger jobs) paying with cash will land you a discount (this is the option I aim for). If you’re looking for a Dentist that defies the typical stereotypes and instead provides the treatment you deserve, look no further! Give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

Dr. Greg Hurtado is an outstanding dentist. I have been with him since he started his practice at Mililani. He is always courteous and very patient. Explains all the procedures before hand. I would recommend Dr. Hurtado to everyone.
