Strobel Dentistry

Christina was super friendly and provided the cleanest cleaning I’ve had in a while, Brooke was great, and the insurance guy smoothly walked through the payment and benefits! I’ve never said this about a dentist visit, but I’m actually looking forward to my filling and crown next week!

I hadn't been to a dentist in over a decade, and I decided to go with my wife's dentist because I didn't have a regular one that I went to. I didn't have any dental issues, per se, but since we had insurance and I had not had a dental check up in forever, I thought it was time for one.
I got in the office and the receptionist was very genuinely courteous and friendly. I filled out my new patient information on a tablet--very convenient, I must say. When I got in and sat in the chair, I felt like a car getting a full diagnostic run--in a very good way! The dental assistant asked me a few questions and was also given very pertinent explanations as to why some questions needed to be asked. She was very friendly and pleasant.
Then Dr. Dan comes in. He sits down, introduces himself, asks me some questions and then explains what the check-up will entail. He was very easy-going, friendly and thorough. My check up was harmless, painless, and very smooth.
After the exam/check-up he gives me the run down. Ultimately, I need a couple of teeth capped and some gum work. These procedures are involved and will require multiple sessions. I am told that there is someone on staff who will help me plan on scheduling these procedures and will also help with what it will take to pay for it.
Michelle is a sort of Financial Aid counselor of the dental office. A very pleasant woman who explained everything without making it all seem so daunting (or as expensive as it all sounded). She assured me that, "we are here to work with you".
The most important thing that I can say that made this first visit a very good experience was the thorough explanations and information that was given to me. It also helped that everyone from the receptionist to the dental hygienist to the dentist to the insurance expert were ALL cordial, friendly, and pleasant. I felt like I was talked TO and not talked AT. Honestly, it almost felt like I was at a day spa or hotel, with how clean, friendly and sunny the office was. Being 45 and not going to a dentist less times than I can count on one hand, I have to say that I had a really great first experience here. I would definitely recommend visiting them.
Maybe after my procedures are done I will do a follow-up review and give them the fifth star.

Strobel Dentistry is great!! It took me a few attempts to find a good dentist in Chicago, then I was referred to Dr. Dan Strobel and I am so happy. I have been going to Dr. Strobel for almost two years for routine cleanings but this week I had to make a last minute emergency appointment. They were able to fit me in the same morning I called and then worked with me on payment options and my insurance. Dr. Strobel made my emergency less stressful and helped me by offering different treatment options to fit within my budget. I highly recommend Strobel Dentistry to everyone!

I was very happy to meet such good dentist in this office and they all are very professional and helpful. The receptionist is very welcoming. I have never seen a great dentist before. I would like to recommend to all of you to visit this dentist. From the bottom of my heart, thanks heaps to the dentists who worked so hard to clean my teeth.

I was recommended to Dr. Strobel by a co-worker 5 years ago and have never looked back. It is the best dentist I have ever been to. They are always very gentle, never make you feel rushed, and are extremely patient. Their office is convenient and you can get an appointment in under a week. I have never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for my appointment- even when I am early! At one point I was between insurances and paid for my cleaning out of pocket. I was pleasantly surprised at the low cost- expecting much more from a downtown dentist. When going to a new employer I always make sure to get the dental PPO just so I can stay with Dr. Dan!

Sadly I had a bad experience and felt deceived by Stroebel dentistry. I went for the first time since the pandemic (was pregnant at the time), and they led me to believe they were doing a routine cleaning covered by insurance. The hygienist even suggested I come back in December because “my plan covered twice a year cleanings”. She also discussed coding a special cleaning a certain way because it would be “covered by my insurance”. The appointment and people like Dr Isabella were pleasant and wonderful - not so much when I received my bill. The cleaning was not covered because it was a “comprehensive oral exam” that can only be billed every 5 years. Had I known, I might have had my prior dentist send over medical records, or at least been aware that I would be charged. At a minimum you don’t want to feel misled or surprised when you receive a bill. I protested the bill when I got it, and Dr Stroebel defended their policy and actions, offering 50% off and throwing in that they had done a free X-ray during my appointment so quoted all the free/covered services they had given. One other thing that really bothered me was that Dr Stroebel wrote in his email that he knows dental insurance can be confusing - I worked in finance at the largest US healthcare payer and very much understand how it works. I felt deceived by them and on top of that, talked down to. In good faith, I paid my bill and told them I could no longer remain as a patient. I understand they are running a business but they were willing to lose a patient over $64 for a cleaning.

I have been going to Strobel dentistry for 10 years and always have a great experience. The entire team is very friendly, professional and obviously knowledgeable in their field. I never feel like I’m being pressured into getting work I might not need. I fully trust Dr Strobel and his team. I highly recommend

Sry accommodating, professional, and genuine. That staff, hygienist, and doctors were fabulous. They explained everything to me and made me feel at home. They also have state of the art machines. Can you say cavity fillings with not shots and drills! Found my new dentist.

The staff members Mark, Evette, and Dr. Isabella were AMAZING! THEY MADE MY VISIT SUPER COMFORTABLE AND EASY. THEY ARE A GREAT TEAM!!!

2021 Update: Still the best! Aer expertly handled my cleaning, Evette took my impressions like a pro, and Dr. Isabella patiently answered all my questions. Thanks Strobel Dentistry!

Older review: The entire staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. They take the time to answer my questions, educate me about my options, and work with me to improve my oral health. The assistants and hygienists are thorough and gentle. Both Dr. Dan and Dr. Isabella are patient and expert dentists. I highly recommend them for any dental needs or issues.
