Dentistry with TLC

I recommend no one ever go to this practice. Dr. Anna and her husband are the most arrogant people I have ever met. They are MONEY HUNGRY and that is all. They tell people who do not need wisdom teeth cut out, that they do. I even hear their interviewing process is worse. No one wants to work there. All the employees can't stand it and want to leave but fear it because they need a job. They make you take a test and you can't get hired unless you pass this test which is completely invalid with the job title. They belittle you and make you feel stupid. They tell you that their staff are perfectionists yet make no errors. Also been told by others that the husband interviewed a girl after hours and locked her in. I think this needs to be reported especially to the police for behavior like that. I have heard so many people go there that are unhappy. They really need to realize how many ppl there including employees are disgusted by their arrogance and fake attitudes. They will charge you an arm and a leg for a filling even when you don't need one. They put only good reviews on their tv screen in their waiting room to fluff their ego. I hope more people find out about who they really are. I know about 25 people who have had a bad experience and when they can't get you in, they call and tell you to go to another dentist, that they have no time. What a crock! I have sent my friends to great dentists who are not at all like this!

Look for a different dentist.

1. Sells you services you don't need.
2. Calls and hounds you about service you don't need.
2. Tells you insurance will cover service you don't need but doesn't.
3. Bills you 2 years later.

I was going on their word I needed this and it was the worst dental experience I ever had. I never went back for the second session.

Well, I'm sad to say that I had a Horrible experience with TLC dentistry in Godfrey IL.
It all Started with an extraction. The dentist broke my jaw to pieces taking out the tooth. The dentist was asking the assistant what to do halfway through the procedure. This is just the beginning. I didnt know that they broke my jaw all up but did hear alot of breaking sounds. The dentist sent me home with penicillin and no prescription for pain medicine. When I got home the local anesthetic wore off and the pain started. I almost had a heart attack the pain was so intense. I could barely talk. I called the emergency number and talked to Anna R. Smith She was very rude to me. I told her that I was in extreme pain and she told me to take tylenol and then told me I was a "drug seeker" and hung up on me. I was in agonizing pain for three days until I was able to see a doctor and get pain medicine. My jaw bone has been sticking out this entire time and I was worried it would get infected, I ended up performing surgery on my own mouth to break and remove the exposed jawbone to relieve my pain. This could have been avoided with the doctor Anna R. Smith having the slightest amount of compassion and caring the least bit to look into a patients matter. They have an oral surgeon on site and could have fixed my mouth. I have good insurance and it paid for 100% of all my visits. I understand they treat people without insurance and who are poor like crap, but what did I do to them? They have been paid in full. In fact they shot all the xrays allowed by my insurance so they could charge me bookoo bucks to my insurance for their outdated equipment. If I needed them later I didnt have any left. I know another dentist that has a state of the art xray that does the entire mouth and charges only a little more for xrays. They didnt consider me at all. They may sound nice on the radio and I've seen they have been on channel 4's show great day saint louis. Well Im here to tell you they are fake liers and dont care about you they are spending thousands on advertising to get alot of people in there to bill the hell out of your insurance if they can. This is The worst dentist I have ever been to.

My message to TLC change your name because you let your patients suffer.

I am calling you liars because you say you care about your patients but you dont because you treated me so terrible.

Change your policy actually check on a patients records if they call the emergency number and say they are in pain. Dont just get pissy and hang up on them ANN

Absolutely DO NOT RECCOMEND I would like to see someone investigate dentistry with tlc in Godfrey IL. They are doing things in the office that are not needed to charge people for them.

I went there today and was told I needed a root canal and crown. Something didn't seem right at all. Being that I have a father that is a retired dentist I knew it was just not right. I told them I was going to go get a second opinion. This made things worse and aggravated them. I did have an issue but knew what they were doing to inspect it and the things they were telling me where for lack of better terms bullshit.

The inspection was a joke and the things they did and told me were to make me feel as if I needed to proceed with a expensive process or pulling the tooth and not having one tooth. Even went to the extent to make it sound as if it was life threatening to try and convince me.

Long story short I went to another dentist for a second opinion and he found that I had a small infection in between my tooth and gum due to some debris stuck in there. Cleaned it out gave me antibiotics. Not a thing wrong with the tooth or any others. Other than needing a regular cleaning that is over due

I'm sure they have scammed many others and it needs to be known.

Dentistry with TLC is the place to be! Ha, that was a rhyme! I bring ALL of my family here for all of their services from FASTBRACES to oral snoring appliances to regular check ups and I have never had anything but exceptional service. Best dentist I've ever been to. My son recommended I call. They got me in later that day, got my teeth cleaned, got my cavities fixed and out of pain. Dr. Anna was caring and talked to me about my family. She let me make payments. Cant ask for more.

Had a root canal. Tooth consistently hurt afterwards like in needs another root canal. My son had a root canal and crown. 5 months later tooth was killing him. Didn't get all the nerve. Had to get another root canal and crown. TLC offered to pay half of a new crown!!!! Will never go back. They don't back their work!

I have been a patient with the TLC office since May 2013. I went there to find out about their sleep appliance. I have been treated with great respect the moment I arrived in their office! I admire Dr. Smith and her staff and they work hard to make sure everything is working okay! The sleep appliance was VERY easy to use and get used to wearing! The office worked so hard to get my insurance company to pay for my appliance to the point that they worked with me for 8 months and FINALLY my insurance company paid for the appliance! Thanks, TLC, for helping me!! You are the greatest!

Everyone here does everything in their power to make sure you are absolutely as comfortable as possible at any given moment! They go above and beyond to give you great treatment and make the office seem homey. Hygienist Angie even got some residual glue from my braces off my teeth even though that is not something she even has to do! 100% consider coming here!

Wow! Talk about impressive! Not only is the entire staff friendly and welcoming, but they all seem to genuinely CARE about their patients. The technology in dentistry and orthodontics is incredible; very current and cutting edge. Dentistry with TLC even has help options for patients with sleep apnea! Who would have guessed!?! Their extended hours make it easy to find an appointment time that works best with my schedule, too. By far, the BEST in the St. Louis area!
