Our family has been coming to Metro Square Dental for many years and have always been happy with their work and service. They're a top notch dentist and have met the dental needs of our entire family. They've always been professional, helpful, and accommodating. You won't be sorry!

This was an emergency visit after my tooth broke off the night previous. The office got me in quickly and the dentist there filled the cavity to “buy some time” until my next visit. Dr on call returned my call in the early morning, but he did call and told the office I would be in touch with them regarding this problem.

Our family has been using Metro Square Dental for around 20 years. We have taken our children there since they were 2. We couldn’t be happier with their expertise, their staff, their facilities and their abiltiy and willingness to work with the insurance companies to make the payment process easy. We would highly recommend them.

I was a new patient at Metro Square Dental and was overall impressed. I have been to other Dental offices in the area and have bounced around trying to find a good one. Monique was my hygienist and was friendly and professional. I will be returning for my regular dental visits and will recommend friends and family!

I have been a dental patient since I was a 2 year old, so I know a good dentist when I find one! Despite all my dental woes, Dr. Jeff was able to see how he could help me achieve a nice, pretty smile, even after decades of root canals and crowns of all different ages and qualities. His wonderful office worked with me to fully explain not only the process itself, but also the insurance/financial end. I am also very impressed by the use of email appointment confirmations, which I have found very convenient and helpful. I wish my other healthcare providers would do the same! All in all, I would rate Dr. Jeff and his staff as the best dental practice I have ever been to.

I liked the endodontist that I saw at this office. The office space and exam rooms are not very nice. I spent a good amount of time waiting while the office staff contacted and spoke with my insurance company. They had a set price for my procedure, the insurance company told them what they would pay and I payed the remaining several hundred dollars before the procedure. All would have been fine but a few months later I got a bill from Metro Square Dental. It was for another 11% of the initial cost. I felt like I had purchased a car, signed, payed etc only to have the dealer call and ask for another couple of thousand dollars. It is in the small print- they can charge you more after all of the business is complete. I will pay the extra charges and hope that they do not charge me yet again in the future- it is in the small print.

They double billed me and insurance. Won't return calls or answer the phone. I was billed again on statement after I paid it. Credits or payments from me do not show up on billing statement. Please make sure you don't double pay. Still waiting to speak to office manager. Next call is to attorney general

If I could leave zero stars, I would. This was hands down the worst dental practice I've ever gone to. To begin with, I was told at the start of my routine exam/cleaning that I'd need 18 x-rays. 18!?! I've been to about a dozen or more dentists in my life and never had more than just 4 bite-wings (I think that's what they're called) and/or a panoramic x-ray. I was literally gagging as the technician kept trying to shove the x-ray thing into my mouth over and over again. Finally I asked to stop. She left to tell the dentist and came back and said the dentist wanted to numb my entire mouth so she could try to get the full 18 x-rays. I should have just walked out at that moment. But instead I let them try again, after giving me numbing mouthwash, which did nothing at all to keep me from choking as she kept trying to shove the x-ray thing in over and over again. I have NEVER had a problem getting x-rays done before anywhere else. So eventually I was about in tears and she finally gave up and they did the panoramic instead (which they made me take my earrings out for, which I've also never had to do before, and while this isn't technically their fault, at some point that day I ended up losing one of those real diamond earrings they made me take out; grr). Anyway, when I finally saw the dentist (for about 60 seconds), I was told I had a cavity, and that it'd be a quick, simple filling that would take about 30 min. When I showed up for the filling, I asked for nitrous oxide because I have dental anxiety. I was told no because the dentist thinks it makes the whole office "high"... I've never had a dentist who refused to use nitro. So either a lot of dentists are practicing "high," or that's ridiculous. Regardless, I felt like the dentist was really rough- yanking/pushing/pinching during the entire filling, including while injecting the anesthesia. Six hours after my simple filling my face was still numb/lop-sided, and yet I was having such bad tooth pain that I couldn't even sleep. I ended up having to take pain medicine that night (and every day since). The next afternoon I called to try to come in to have the dentist check the filling because I was sure something was really wrong since it was still hurting, but they had closed already (at 2pm) and don't have weekend hours. Incidentally, we were moving that Sunday so I was forced to make an appointment with someone else to fix it instead. The next week I called Metro to have them email my x-rays to the new dentist, which the receptionist said she'd take care of. Imagine my frustration when I showed up to my appointment the following afternoon and the x-rays weren't there, so I had to get, and pay for, new x-rays (I called Metro from the new dentist's office but they were closed yet again). Totally unacceptable that Metro failed to send those x-rays. Anyway, the new dentist told me the filling the Metro dentist did was hitting the nerve of my tooth and that's where all my pain is coming from. So now I have to get a $1500 root canal that absolutely wasn't needed. The dentist at Metro never said the cavity was such that there was a possibility she'd hit the nerve or I'd need a root canal; again, she spent maybe 60 seconds telling me I'd need a filling and it was no big deal... Well, it's a HUGE deal now. And to top it off, I called Metro again to ask them to email my x-rays directly to ME so I can send them to whatever endodontist I choose to do the root canal, and the receptionist kept fighting with me about it and never even apologized when I explained that the reason I wanted them sent to me personally was because they had dropped the ball on sending them to my new dentist the week before. So, literally EVERY aspect of my multiple interactions with Metro has been frustrating and infuriating. I work in health care, too, and tend to be pretty forgiving of mistakes, but my experience with Metro has been an absolute nightmare.

I like this Dental practice and really like the Hygienist, Monique. She has a very nice touch with the cleaning- never any pain or discomfort.

There is one thing I would like to see changed with this practice- since new owners took over, they have been very aggressive with pushing for X-rays at every appointment (twice per year), even though most insurance only covers once per year. We have told them that we take care of our teeth and have made the educated decision to have x-rays once per year so we don't have to pay for the 2nd set out-of-pocket. We've asked that these instructions be put in our file and followed, so that we don't have to have uncomfortable conversations every other appointment. Yet, they schedule x-rays for each appointment, and when we remind them that we have standing instructions to take them once per year, they insist that "best dental practices call for x-rays at each appointment", completely ignoring our instructions and wishes.

So, I had annual x-rays today, and my walk out statement for my appointment in 6 months shows x-rays scheduled. Dr. Goodsey- I like you, you are a fine dentist. When are you and your partners going to understand that dentistry, while a profession, is also a customer service business? We have made our position clear- we only require x-rays once per year. It should say so right in our file (unless it's been deleted). When I show up for my February appointment, if that lead shield is placed on me, there is going to be a very uncomfortable conversation taking place. And I don't want to do that when Monique will be going into my mouth with sharp instruments right after. But I will, because my instructions are my instructions- all due respect to your professional recommendation.

I have been their patient for like 5 years. I don't like them nickel and dime me. I often feel that they want more procedures done so that they get billed more. I am stopping to go there for their lack of service mind-ness. On positive side I like the crown they built for me which fit perfectly.
