Terrible bedside manner from (The Dental Center, 815 38th St SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403). Dental Assistants were rude. They would get angry when I tried to set up appointments at the office. I would have to call in to reschedule because assistant would argue and yell at me because I couldn't come in at certain times because I work. Also was tricked into getting a $80 bottle of mouthwash when you can buy the same kind at any store for $6. Would also get charged erroneously with fees that were unnecessary. Lastly was told repeatedly I needed a route canal and my tooth couldn't be fixed. Went to another dentist and got it fixed, repaired, and filled in. I also have a permanent hole to my jawbone and now require surgery to repair the damage because they didn't stitch me up properly. Really disappointed in the price I paid for work done when it was done sloppy and rushed. Never again. With another dentist that treats me like a human and not a paycheck. (((Update: Owner response is obvious vague denial claiming "My area of Wisconsin." Most 5 star reviews are from friends, family, or people that work there meant to boost reviews. I hope this negative review is a warning for anyone thinking about going here.)))

This was my first experience at The Dental Center and I left highly satisfied. The hygienist Christie & Dr. Haganman were wonderful and informative. The entire visit was very thorough and I left more knowledgeable about my teeth.

It had been a long time since I'd been to the dentist, so I was naturally very nervous, but Nadia was great and helped put me at ease as well as minimize discomfort. Dr. Stovie was personable and informative and clearly knew his stuff.
I am very thankful for both of them and would recommend this place to anyone.

I have been a customer since they had a smaller office space a few blocks down the street. I was about 11. These guys are the best! From the office staff who are so, so kind and welcoming to the hygienists who are very thoughtful and gentle. I have been seen by all three Doctors at one point or another and I can say they are friendly, truly care about their patients and always leave me feeling confident about my health!
Dr. Stovie changed my terrifying view of going to the dentist as a child into one of pure joy! (sounds crazy, I know!) I love the feeling of extra clean teeth, and he fixed my chipped tooth and gave me two fillings... I giggled and smiled the whole time! He also did my Orthodontic treatment twice (my fault for not keeping a retainer the first time) and was very helpful with any concerns along the way. He is great about helping you to forget any potential discomfort with his humor.
Dr. Hingst did my wisdom teeth - That was the only time I ever saw her as a patient, and she was awesome. She made me feel completely comfortable and calm through the entire process even though I put it off for years before that because I was so nervous to have a surgery done! Many of my family members see Hingst and love her as a general dentist, too!
Dr. Haganman became my dentist more recently as my insurance changed and it would have cost me twice as much per visit to see Stovie. I was initially extremely disappointed because Stovie changed my view about the dentist and I had seen him for about 15 years. As it turned out, Haganman is just as kind and knowledgeable!
Basically, my point is - no matter which staff memeber you see at The Dental Center, you are in great hands! They are all top notch in my book and I'd trust any of them with my oral health any day!

Going to the dentist is what I call not having fun from past experience. Dr.Haganman and team of hygienist has change my view on that aspect. Everyone was great to when you step inside the building, til you leave the building with fresh clean mouth! By far the best dentist center I have ever have gone to and don't think I'll be going anywhere else soon!

I highly recommend Dr. Stovie and The Dental Center. Everyone is friendly and professional. Best of all is how wonderful they are with my kids. My 6 year old loves going to her check-ups and Dr. Stovie and the hygienists are terrific when it comes to my 3 yr. old daughter who is on the autism spectrum. They are all extremely understanding and patient. I couldn't ask for a better dental experience for my family.

My experiance with Dr Haganman and his staff was about as good as you can get!!! i was told he was the best so i drove all the way from St Louis to find out that this was true. I was looking into getting my gap fixed in my front two teeth but i was so nervous that it would not look natural.Dr Haganman assured me i will be 100% pleased and i have to say i am a complely different person. I smile so much more now i love seeing my smile in pictures. Every time i look at my smile i thank Dr Haganman and i cant leave out his assistant Bobbie Huber,she was amazing as well she made sure i was 100% pain free and comfortable. She worked so hard to get me in and out quickly because she knew i had a long drive home. I would recomend these people for and of your dental needs. They truly care about you and not about how much money they can make off you. that is hard to come by these days. Love you guys and appricate all the good that you do. .....oh and a shout out to Kimberly at the front desk who welcomed me and made me feel at home. Thanks guys, you all are top knotch!!!!

I came to The Dental Center for a routine cleaning as I am new to the area looking for a permanent dentist. Dr. Haganman was my dentist who did my check-up. He addressed all my concerns and made sure I felt very comfortable during the entire appointment. Luckily, I had no cavities but I will be returning to his office as a regular patient from now on.
