READ BEFORE SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT: This dental office is extremely greedy and unethical. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FILTER THESE GOOGLE REVIEWS BY 1 STAR. Also look at the GlassDoor reviews from prior employees, which are all negative and confirmed my fears about what I experienced here. The hygienist will pressure you into writing a 5 star review while you are sitting there waiting for the doctor to get a free item. That is where all of these 5 star reviews on google come from.
Seriously, you will be told you have advanced periodontal gum disease when you do not. They will try and upsell you on unnecessary items and treatments every step of the way. After scaring you with fake diagnostics, they will pressure you into treatments that they make sounds like life saving treatments. Out of the blue they will also pressure you into sleep diagnostic testing and try and get you to see a sleep doctor they partner with. You will go in for a routine cleaning and leave thinking you have 6 months before you die in your sleep from sleep apnea.
Rebecca the hygenist was a master manipulator and unfortunately it cost me $$. It is all absolutely insane. The "insurance specialist" lied directly to my face about what would covered, and pressured me to pay up front for all future treatments (which I mistakenly did). After 3 weeks of back and forth with them I finally am being reimbursed. Turns out nothing they said would be covered was actually covered. I spoke with the insurance company (Delta Dental) who said that the insurance specialist clearly lied to me in order to close the sale. I had a very weird feeling when I left, and am so glad I did more research before going back for any unnecessary expensive treatments. Stay far far away from this place.

As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with friendly staff and faces I love to see each time I come to coral west dental. Dr. Rubel and all the staff are very thorough with their work and are very nice. They make sure you're comfortable. The staff are very professional and respectful! I recommend coral west dental :)

I've been coming to Coral West for at least 15 years. Dr. Rubel and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable, skilled, and accommodating. And when there's been occasional bad news (cavities), the follow-up treatment has been as close to pain free as I've ever had.
If you're phobic about dentists, this is a great place to go!

I’ve never felt so comfortable and welcome as I have since starting my oral health journey here at Coral West Dental! Dr. Rubel and his fantastic staff make you feel welcome and actively work with you to make sure your smile is healthy and beautiful. Friendly, communicative, and professional I highly recommended this care team. When I first started coming here I’d had a few traumatizing experiences at other offices, coming to the dentist caused me real anxiety, but my first visit Courtney had me laughing, made sure I didn’t feel judged or criticized for my cavities. Dr. Rubel came in with a jovial attitude, kind smile and amazing skill, and I haven’t received care of a lesser quality. They are always like this, happy to help, easy going, and treat me with the utmost care.
My four year old daughter also comes here and she LOVES coming to the dentist. She loves the hygienists and thinks Dr. Rubel is hilarious.

Would give 0 stars if i could. Tried to tell me my diabetes was not in good control and would damage my gums when my endocrinologist…the doctor specifically for my diabetes says i have good control.
Was expecting a 30-45 min cleaning…was there for 2.5 hours
Tried to tell me to do some sleep breathing test despite me having no respiratory issues and just wanting a cleaning…then wanted me to explain in detail why i said no and acted like i was jeopardizing my health if i didnt
Tried to tell me my gums were at risk of xyz if i didnt do the breathing test thing, get some $900 custom trays with some gel
Actual dentist was there for 2-5 min of the whole 2.5 hours
Overall…felt like they were just trying to scare me and get me to do a bunch of things not covered by my insurance. Horribly overwhelming and anxiety inducing experience. Never coming back

The entire staff at Coral West Dental is beyond amazing! I have been seeing Dr. Rubel for 15 years. I sadly have had more fillings and root canals than most people experience in their entire lifetime. Dr. Rubel has the most amazing numbing technique and I can honestly say I have never been afraid to visit the dentist. He is more than a dentist to me he is a friend that knows me by name. At Coral West Dental they have all of the latest technology paired with the small town family feel to make you feel at home. I highly recommend Dr.Rubel for any age of dental care. I am writing this review because I know how scary a dental visit can be but I also know how wonderful it can be too!

I had part of my tooth break off and the tooth had been causing pain for a couple of weeks and was becoming unbearable to have to deal with untreated. After hearing about this practice from my mother I attempted to schedule an appointment and got right in the following day. Dr. Rubel was very nice and he knew what he was doing. Having had the same procedure at the college of dentistry, Dr. Rubel did in a couple hours what took the dental college four months worth of appointments to accomplish. Can’t thank them enough! Highly recommended.

Quick and thorough. I was paid close attention to, any concerns or questions were answered with understanding. The doctor was down to earth, the staff was friendly and the facility is A+! Would recommend to anyone. They see patients of all ages, and their goody bags are the bomb! Oh, and if you recommend 3 or more people and they make an appointment, you get free teeth whitening. What!!!!

Courtney (dental assistant) is awesome and so much fun! She made the whole experience of getting a crown on a broken molar almost like a party! I've been coming to Dr. Jeff Rubel since I moved to Iowa 12 years ago and he is so friendly, funny, gentle and trustworthy. Keenan is such a great hygienist! Easygoing personality and does an amazingly painless job of cleaning!!! I totally look forward to my dentist appointments!

From the moment you walk into the door, you feel extremely welcome. The decor feels modern and less like a medical office and more of a comfortable living area. The staff was prompt on getting to me, and every step of the process was explained clearly, leaving no questions to be asked. I clearly needed some additional work besides the basic cleaning, and it was clear that what was being suggested was truly what was needed, and they weren't trying to force unneeded work on me. Dr. Rubel and his team are exceptional dental professionals, and I look forward to my next appointment.
Update Jan 2019: Started coming back when my new job offered dental again. Still a wonderful place to come get your oral work done. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and Dr. Rubel has a killer memory to remember me after such a gap in care. It's imlossiimp to imahkni going anywhere else.
