Exceptional experience! And I HATE needles!!! Quick and very affordable. Not to mention the Covid Safe environment. And they somehow squeezed me in to refill a filling in under 24 hours! Everybody is so professional yet relaxing.

Our dental care at The Family Dental Center was very good. We appreciated the services of the dental hygienists and the dentist we saw. That being said, we had a very poor experience with billing. We originally had an insurance policy which was in network with this center, but our insurance changed recently. When I presented my new card to the woman behind the counter, she never said that our new insurance was out of network. We were not told this after the appointments we had that morning, and we were not told this when my husband created a follow up appointment for a week later. Only after he came home from that appointment, having paid a large bill, did I find out that they were out of network because I called to ask why the amount he paid was so much. I quickly looked up my out of network coverage information and was relieved to see that my insurance still pays 100% of preventative services, so our former appointments for the whole family should've been covered. Then I received a huge bill in the mail. Even though our insurance "paid at 100%", this office "balanced billed" us so we had to pay any remaining amounts up to their retail prices. Had they been in network, we would've paid $58 for 3 cleanings and a filling. Since they are not in network and practice balance billing, we have to pay a surprise $483.

I spoke with someone at the office about this, upset that they never mentioned we were out of network, and I was told that it's my responsibility to know that. (I agree - I'm usually on top of these things, but I'm human.) The woman I spoke to said they only accept 2 types of insurance. I asked if it is their policy NOT to tell people when they are out of network, and she said that they cannot be responsible for 1700 patients' insurance coverage. They make no effort to alert a patient if their insurance coverage is out of network. I suggested that the least they could do is say "we are not in network with your insurance." If they only accept 2 insurances, and when they employ someone to handle insurance billing, this should be obvious for them. She said she would take that into advisement. Meanwhile, we were forced to pay the full amount.

I love that they keep very close to your appointment. Jill is such an attentive hygenist. She's gentle but gets my teeth so smooth and bright. I also appreciate that they don't suggest unnecessary treatments.

The team is like family! I have been a patient since 2003 and really enjoy seeing everyone for me and my family's appointments. Everyone is sincerely kind from the front desk to the doctor. They have the best team!

My 9-year-old needed a filling for the first time ever, and had a complete meltdown over the idea of getting a shot. Dr. Gugliano and Alden were so patient and calm with her (and mom, too!). After about 30 minutes, they were finally able to numb her gums, and then Dr. Gugliano explained every single tool and what it did before he started working on her tooth. It went from tears to smiles. It was clear how much he understood children and didn't try to rush her at all. I can't recommend this team enough!

Great care, friendly staff, their work schedule makes it easy to make an appointment without taking off from work. I appreciate the care they have given me since I started with them after my previous dentist retired.

I have gone here for years and have trusted them to care for my whole families dental care. They have a friendly efficient staff and are always welcoming. They have built a great business from routine surveillance to specialty needs.

I have been seeing Dr Gilbaugh since I was a child, and now I have my daughter being taken care of by him as well. I love that she can experience such wonderful care like I do by Dr Gilbaugh and his staff. Amy Cassady, our hygienist is so good with Chloe and treats her like she was one of her own. We love Amy!
