Can’t recommend gateway Dental and Dr..Burds enough! Obviously he has outstanding clinical skills -a definite must in a dentist ;) But his whole staff is so professional and calming as well. It sets them apart from so many other healthcare experiences! They make getting an old discolored filling replaced as pleasant as it can be!!!

My experience with this business started in the 80s with Dr. Kingsfield at their old location in front of the hospital, so it's safe to say I am happy with not only my dental care but the general atmosphere. There have been multiple cases where this office has gone above and beyond for me when they most certainly didn't have to; in an effort to keep this short-ish, I won't start itemizing here. Just kno note that I've never had anything but "5 star" type service.
Yesterday, however, added yet another new dimension to my appreciation for the people of which this group is comprised, so I'll focus on this specific example as to what kind of service makes Gateway stand out and above the rest.
Unforeseen circumstances yesterday, left me having to change my appointment time (lucky for me, they'd had a cancellation for a different time slot)...despite my lack of anyone to care for my newborn. I had called with the expectation of having to cancel my appt last minute, but they graciously told me I could come in anyway if I preferred, and could bring Babe with me.
As luck with a newborn would have it, Baby woke up just as we were getting started. The hygienist allowed me to stop and feed her...which helped some, but only had a moderate effect on baby's demeanor. Nobody got frustrated, upset, or annoyed with us in the least.
While I am certainly NOT here to promote or even suggest the concept of bringing infants to dentist appointments and I fully understand none of this could, should nor would ever be expected of the staff, I am grateful to have been allowed an exception. With 5 kids, making and keeping appointments for myself can be hard.
***I want to give an extra shout out to Karen for coming in and taking the baby to console her while my hygienist completed my appointment.***
Karen, you have jumped through hoops in the past, in an effort to accommodate me in various ways, but I gotta say, comforting my baby so I could keep my desperately needed appointment unequivocally tops them all.
You guys are awesome and I appreciate you.
