This was the first appointment following Dan's retirement. It was a pleasure to return the dental office I have been going to for years to find the same upbeat familiar staff! In addition, it was a pleasure to meet Dr. Melani! She took the time to talk to me and get to know me which I sincerely appreciated. I am happy to have her as my family dentist! See you guys soon....not too soon though!!!

Always a stress/nervous feeling free atmosphere (as much as you can for a dentist). Dr Todd always making the patient feel welcomed and does great work. His staff is all so kind and good at what they do. I used to regret going to dentist offices. I do not mind going to Dr Todd office for my check ups. Would highly recommend to anyone!

I was a patient of Dr. Todd for years. He was great. Wasn’t sure what the experience would be like with a new dentist. I shouldn’t have worried. The staff stayed the same, and Dan’s replacement was warm and welcoming. The office was a bit more quiet without Dan’s booming voice, but the dentistry was solid. I would recommend to those looking for a new dentist.

I was able to schedule an appointment one week out and staff where able to get me seated almost immediately when I arrived. Overall staff were friendly and Dr. Fulton was able to help me with a crown on cracked tooth. I can't say it's always fun going to the dentist, but Bright Smiles Family Dentistry made it easy and conformable for me to get the work I needed done. Will be coming here for future dental needs.

My husband, 2 daughters and I have been patients of Dr. Todd for 19 years. I went to him on a recommendation from another family and have not been disappointed. I started taking my daughters to him when each was 3 years old. Unlike my experiences as a child, my children actually LOOKED FORWARD to visits with the dentist. He joked around with my kids and made them feel at ease. His dental staff (hygienists, front desk receptionist) have always been extremely kind and friendly with us as well. I never had to fight with my kids over dental visits. One of my daughters broke one of her front permanent teeth down to the root at a summer camp and Dr. Todd met us at his office that evening (after hours) to see her. He formed a temporary prosthetic for her tooth until we knew whether she would need a root canal or not. We received numerous compliments/comments on the quality of the "temporary" prosthetic he made for my daughter in those evening hours. He also oversaw the construction (via a lab he recommended) of the permanent replacement to ensure that the exact enamel shade would would match her permanent teeth. Dr. Todd's personality is one of humor/sarcasm and makes him a perfect fit for my family. The quality of his work over 19 years has never been a question. Highly recommend!

Dr. Fulton and her team are absolutely amazing. They really mean it when they say they are treating people and not just teeth. They treated me like a person and not a number.

I hadn't been to the dentist in almost exactly 2 years since the pandemic started and in that time we had relocated to DSM so I was in need of a new dentist. I went to one of the bigger chains in the area first and they pushed a huge package of work along with several minor upsells like expensive toothpaste. I knew things probably wouldn't be pretty after 2 years of no dentistry but wasn't expecting to hear that I had supposedly acquired full blown irreversible gum disease with a good amount of tooth bone loss. With a quote over $1000 of work I decided to get a second opinion so I went to Dr. Fulton's team.

She explained in deeper detail the X-Rays (from the other place) what we were looking at and how to properly measure for gum disease. I felt at ease with her diagnosis as it wasn't rushed and she allowed me to ask any questions I needed. Long story short I do not have gum disease and I do need to floss much more regularly or else I could slip into gum disease. Also- no tooth loss. She was direct, fair, kind and saved me thousands of dollars. Can't recommend Dr. Fulton and her team enough!

Twelve years ago, when I moved to the Des Moines area, I asked coworkers for health care referrals. Dr. Todd was recommended and we have enjoyed going to him since. I can’t think of a time that I’ve sat in the waiting room for more than a couple minutes. Many times we are taken back right away. They are very prompt. My teeth have always been thoroughly cleaned and feel great, even during the pandemic when they aren’t polishing. We thoroughly trust Dr. Todd’s recommendations for the care and treatment of our family’s teeth. They have been great with our kids too! Our daughter has had some cavities filled and she has no fear of going. They love getting a little reward at the end of their appointment too. I can’t forget to mention how personable Dr. Todd is with his patients. I don’t think there’s been an appointment with him that I haven’t laughed during.

I’ve been going to Dan Todd since I was a child (over 25 years). Dan’s clinic is always clean and safe! The staff is always friendly and everyone treats you like family! I would highly recommend Dan T Todd as your primary dentist!
