Taylor Dental: A Pediatric Dentist with Mixed Reviews

Taylor Dental is a pediatric dental clinic located in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The clinic offers services such as dental check-ups, teeth cleaning, and cavity fillings. However, the reviews from customers are mixed, with some praising the clinic's staff and services, while others have had negative experiences.

The clinic's hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday, and from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturdays. The clinic is closed on Sundays. The clinic's location is at 2706 Ryan St, Lake Charles, LA 70601, and their phone number is (225) 831-7843.

Some customers have praised the clinic's staff, with one customer mentioning that Ms. Carla and Ms. Irian were "awesome and super pretty" and took care of them while their teeth were being worked on. However, other customers have had negative experiences, with some mentioning that the staff was rude and unprofessional. One customer mentioned that the dentist had a "horrible attitude" and showed no empathy towards their child, who was crying during their appointment.

Another issue that some customers have mentioned is the clinic's location. The clinic is currently working out of a small trailer, which some customers found confusing and difficult to locate. Additionally, some customers have mentioned that the clinic's waiting area is outside, which can be uncomfortable during hot Louisiana summers.

Overall, Taylor Dental has mixed reviews from customers. While some customers have had positive experiences with the clinic's staff and services, others have had negative experiences with the clinic's location and staff. It is recommended that potential customers read through the reviews and carefully consider their options before choosing Taylor Dental as their pediatric dental clinic.

I have had nothing but problems with Taylor Dental and my child has not even been seen yet. Any time I try to call, I end up waiting on hold for a long time and don't even talk to someone who is actually at the office on Ryan Street. The only reason I picked Taylor Dental is because it's basically the only pediatric dentist in network. The people who were working were not very friendly or inviting - which should not be the case when you work with kids. My daughter has never been to a dentist before and she was crying because she was scared to go. They didn't try to talk to her at all or comfort her, and they wouldn't even see her because her nose was running a little bit (as a result of the crying). It's taken months to get an appointment that I could actually make it to and they wouldn't even see her. Next appointment won't even be until February, which is an appointment that I doubt I'll be able to take her to because of my job. I'm only giving this place one star because Google won't let me give it zero stars.

I returned to lake Charles after the hurricane and here's where my children went. They are not very friendly first thing. 2nd thing, they are still working out of a VERY small trailer and it's been over 2 years since the storm. They called about three times to confirm my kids appointments but never mentioned to me that we must wear masks to come inside. I took half a day off of work to bring my kids to their appointment only to be told that we couldn't come in without mask. They also said that they don't have masks and i could go across the street to Walgreens to buy some. I told them to just reschedule us but i was already on the phone with another dentist. Highly ghetto and unprofessional ppl. I do NOT recommend

I would rate this place below 0. I brought my 3yr old here today and I’m still shaken up! 😡 The Dentist has a horrible attitude, she lacks compassion and shows absolutely no empathy towards her patients (kids) that’s in her care! My 3yr old was crying she got up and slammed the door closed so that I could no longer see him and I heard his cry/scream get louder she had him in there over 30min only to come out and she left his little tooth exposed and still hurting and stated she didn’t fill it because he was crying to much!! This place(trailer) is a joke just like her!!! Rude,Bitter,Nasty Attitude having self…. I’ll NEVER bring my babies here or nowhere close to her or this BAD,HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE of a place again!!! It really saddens me that this woman and some of her staff is around any kids at all! The audacity to get mad at a 3yr old did it for me!!! And btw this blog made me give a 1 star ⭐️ to be able to post but she doesn’t deserve anything other than to be SHUT DOWN!!

I brought my 2 year old to her very first dentist apt. I was not told ahead of time about mask being required nor was I told that they weren't in the main building but a small portable building in the parking lot. Their buisness name isn't even listed on the shopping centers sign, so once I got there I was definitely confused as to where I was suppose to go.
The two ladies who took x-rays were nice, and friendly with my daughter but when I guess the dentist or her assistant came in she just came off rude. She didn't introduce herself then as she's trying to tell my child to tilt her head back and open her mouth so she can look into her mouth (my daughter is in my lap, in the dental chair) I then began to reasure my daughter it was ok and what to do then went to touch her face and the lady just put her hand out stopped me and said I got it. It was very rude and uncalled for. If I want to make my daughter feel more comfortable then that's my choice. No way should she have acted that way. We have an apt next week but bc I felt so uncomfortable I called another dentist who isnt even excepting new patients but bc I explained the situatuon, they made an exception for her and I am so thankful!

Horrible Horrible….after deciding to try this place after name change it’s even worse!!!!!! At least when it was kool smiles they were welcoming but bad technique and training…Taylor dental is very ghetto unprofessional and everyone has an attitude!!! unclean watch this lady come outside with gloves and use those same gloves to reach to open my daughters mouth and then go do an X-ray with the same gloves thank God she didn’t place her hands in her mouth…the dentist or whoever she is cause she didn’t introduce herself to her new patient or to mom..and we wonder why

Still make you wear mask, extremely Rude, horrible experience, horrible services. Would not recommend to anyone. The dentist is horrible, careless, treats you and your child like garbage rate 0 stars if I could

Sad sad people that works here
Very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend anyone bring their kids to this place. They are suppose to be trained to deal with children, but you can't handle a 2 yr old that doesn't want to open their mouth or they are crying.

Can’t give much on how their service is because they’ve cancelled every appointment we’ve had apparently they’re only doing emergency services which is fine but I was never told that when they schedule my sons appointments and this last time they cancelled his appointment without warning because they weren’t actually in the office. Unfortunately they’re the only pediatric dentist within two hours that accepts my insurance but I’ll drive the two hours before I go through this again they schedule months out so to find out that they cancelled without warning I realized that I’ll probably never be seen and should just cut my losses. Hopefully you’ll have better luck if you decide to go with them but I recommend trying anyone else first.

I would give -0 if I could. My daughter went in with a infection in her gums, the dentist did fillings and didn't even acknowledge the infection. A hour later we were at urgent care, they found the infection and treating her. Taylor dental is definitely NOT a place I recommend! Especially for children

Brittanie Levee

Rude as soon as you pull the practice is in a temporary camper. Then they make you sit out in 90 degree heat in south Louisiana to fill out paper work and wait to be called on. Then when you do finally get called on they only take the child and refuse to let the parent go inside with them. This place is a joke. Avoid if at all possible!
