Sorry for the essay but this is the care I received: I had been going to Dr.Hawks office since the 7th grade. I had braces for 7ish years. I got my braces off sophomore year in high school and continued to get cosmetic bonding till my first semester senior year of COLLEGE until my dental insurance ended. In those years my appointments would be 3-4 months apart. And at cosmetic bonding stage I had at some point 5 consecutive appointments cancelled on their end. The cosmetic bonding done would be misshapen and I would hate my smile every time. They would also break so often, and i had made sure to not eat hard foods, gum, etc. when i had come back from a trip overseas I had a GAPING cavity that he chose to ignore to just focus on the bonding(bc there was no it way wasn’t noticeable) until I pointed it out during my appointment and then got it fixed by another dentist in the office. Consequently this also meant I wasnt getting my necessary yearly dental cleanings. When doing the bonding, since my teeth would be different my retainer wouldnt fit but he assured me that it wouldnt be a problem (it was). And now the bonding is so discolored for whatever reason (i dont drink coffee, tea, or eat many foods that stain). When I asked about why it was doing that he just said he didnt know and now im stuck with a smile I hate where I endured appointments on appointments for. (i also live abt 30 min from this place and would have to drive there, sometimes my appts being cancelled at the last minute) The wait times at the office at one point took almost an hour while I sat in the chair waiting for him even though I had classes later in the day. Dr.Hawk didnt really explain much and was always in a hurry so i couldnt express my discontent with my teeth more than once. The nurses and assistants there were nice but I wouldn’t recommend coming here. My siblings have gone to another ortho, gotten their braces off in two years (teeth just the same or a little worse than when I had gotten them). So there is definitely better. Dr.Hawk was very nice but i had frustration built over 7 years and it didnt end well.

Dr. Hawk has been my dentist for many years. He is gentle, patient, and very informative. This is a fantastic dental office. The dental assistants and front desk staff are very helpful as well.

Dr. Hawk has been my dentist for probably over 10 years. He has always given me honest, quality care. My questions are answered and everything is explained to me beforehand. There's never a wait time and when I've had to cancel due to unexpected circumstances, they've always been happy to let me reschedule quickly. Frankly, I hope he never retires cause I don't know how I'd find another dentist I trust.

They have been deleting all the older negative reviews so I am posting this again! I wish I could give 0 stars. Dr. Hawk has done a horrible job with my teeth, from braces to cosmetic dental work. Not only is the quality of work terrible, but now any other dentist I go to has said that they have never seen dental work done this badly and unprofessionally. What he has done for my teeth cannot be fixed because he used such horrible, cheap materials for my cosmetic bonding that it cannot be undone. Not only does he not discuss with patients the process or work he will be doing on their teeth, but the end results end up terrible! Whether it is for dental work or for braces, Do NOT go here unless you want your teeth and their appearance to end up worse than they were before.

I don't have dental insurance and my permanent retainer partially unglued so I looked for a dentist in the area that could re-do the bondage for me. All places I called were trying to push me to re-do my retainer entirely and charge me upwards of $400. Maryland Dental Care told me the dentist would have to look at it and see if it's possible to bond it back again but they were willing to do so if possible, even though I hadn't gotten my retainer done with them previously. Dr. Hawk was extremely kind to me and explained the process the entire way through and fixed the bond on my retainer. I was in and out in 30min and it only cost me $80. Very kind staff and wonderful professionals. Thank you MDC!

Nondescript office location, but facilities are clean and modern, staff and Dr. Hawk are very pleasant and knowledgeable, and they accept our dental insurance. Nothing but positive things to say.
