When looking for a dentist in Big Lake, I heard recommendations of Lake Dental Care with Dr. Skjei (Shay). Dr. Skjei is a down to earth dentist and puts the patient first and at ease. He conducted a dental exam, found the issues, told me what's up and gave me a dental treatment. The dental hygienist Laura, and dental assistant Rachel are cool. The Office assistants are nice and are helpful with figuring out insurance and payments. Dr. Skjei's office is clean and he allows patients to view what they are doing. Dr. Skjei even showed me how the crown was designed and the machine where the crown was made in house. He will answer any and all questions and will try to get to know you...typical dentist asking questions with dental sticks in your mouth!!! Best Dental experience I have ever had. I would recommend this dental office to friends, family and anyone.

The staff at Lake Dental is extremely welcoming and accommodating. They are also up to date on the latest technology and dental advancements. After braces, I needed an implant and veneer caps. I'm so glad I was able to do this all in one place through the expertise of Dr. Skjei and his amazing staff.

I had been searching for a good dentist and after my experience , my search is over.
It was pretty much pain free and would recommend Dr. Skjei to everyone I know. The receptionist even remembered my name after only one appointment. (Impressive)

I had to bring in my son (6) for an extraction today. During these strange Covid-19 times he had to be brave without a parent beside him... (this being asked of the little man who wouldn’t even allow any one to take an x-ray or count his teeth in the dentist prior WITH mom).... I don’t know what kind of miracles were pulled today, but he came out begging to have an actual teeth cleaning appointment scheduled with the dentist he saw today. You all did so great with my son. I cannot thank you enough! Soon enough he will have another appointment made, and my now brave son will be in there to visit you again! Thank you 😊

I used to go to a small dental office in another town, and after getting the stink eye multiple times from the ladies at the front desk, I decided it was time for a change. I heard about Lake Dental Care from a friend and have been there twice so far. Once for a cleaning and another to fix a couple fillings. And of course I have another cleaning set up in a couple months.
Everyone there is so nice, Kim is a great hygienist, she hasn't lectured me on my lack of flossing (sorry Kim 😬) which is awesome, and Dr. Skjei is very knowledgeable and efficient, so that you get through your appointment as quick as possible.
But wait, there's more! Don't have dental insurance? Well they have the plan for you! I have dental insurance though my employer but if I didn't, boy oh boy would I be investing in their dental plan! I mean you don't want to lose money on such a deal.
Anywho, go to Lake Dental Care they're awesome!
