I've been seeing Dr. Skjei for many years; my parents took our family to the Elk River practice he worked at previously, and there's a reason I travel the extra mile to go to this practice in Big Lake now.
I previously had a quite bad experience with getting a filling done at another dental office where the dentist had a poor bedside manner and the filling left my tooth sensitive, and it had a sharp ridge on it as well. I was too nervous to go back to get it fixed so I just left it.
Today I had to get two fillings done after a lapse in dental care, and Dr. Pachuta made sure I was comfortable for the procedure and ensured my mouth felt okay before letting me go after the fillings were done. After the numbness wore off, it hit me how normal my mouth felt. The spots that had fillings done felt completely natural.
As someone with a lot of anxiety around medical procedures and even MORE anxiety due to my previous bad experience with a filling, it means a lot to me that Dr. Pachuta spent the time to make sure my procedure went smoothly.
Long story short, this is a great practice and worth the drive if you don't live close by. Both doctors I've seen have been wonderful, and every hygienist and receptionist I've encountered were great too (I'm sorry I can't remember names!) Thank you all for everything you do!
