On January 30th I was scheduled for my kidney transplant. I needed to be healthy which included my dental health and wouldn't you know it a molar of mine had a fracture become quite worse just 3 weeks prior to my scheduled surgery. I went in to see Dr. Erlandson and he advised I would need a crown. I asked how soon they could get me in to do the build up and his response was "tomorrow", the next question then was what about getting the permanent crown back, he said, "one week, we can put a rush on it for this if needed." I checked with my transplant coordinator and she said if they can get it done with two weeks to spare until your surgery for healing, then you should be fine! Wow!! Was I impressed because they did it!! Unfortunately my transplant ended up not happening on January 30th because the paired donor was involved in a car accident just 6 days before the surgery but I was paired with another donor and my surgery happened on March 26th! A BIG THANK YOU TO Dr. Erlandson, Misty and team for the WONDERFUL SERVICE!!
