Radiance Dental

I was told at the end of last year that I needed to get a root canal and after looking into the cost of it I decided to check into Endodontists in my insurance network. Radiance Dental was the top of the list. It is a little over an hr from my house BUT again it was in network. I am 33 and do not at all want to walk around with teeth missing from my mouth but after talking to the doctor I am going to look into best options as far as long term. I was informed of a few things I wasn’t sure about and I also had a few things confirmed that I had personally questioned myself. The staff, even if I only encountered 3, were super sweet and informative and helpful! I think I may actually look into permanently switching which is saying a ton because I LOVE my out of network dentist, but Radiance really impressed me!!

Love this place, I am so glad I found them. I move around a lot and finding a new dentist is always scary but I was lucky enough to find them right away. They are so nice and did a great job.

Very disappointed that Dr Shapiro and hygienist Kim are gone. Wasn't great that we kept getting new dentists, but we always loved Kim. We were happy when Dr. Shapiro joined practice, but now will probably leave. The hygienist we had was great and even found an abscess under a previous filling in my daughters mouth. The temp dentist couldn't even see it (and I could). We will definitely be going elsewhere for treatment of the abscess! I'm mostly disappointed that I was not called and told that they did not have a qualified dentist available for my CHILDRENS visit!

Nice friendly professional very assuring that you would be in good hands. Dentist and his assistants made me believe that they know what they are doing. After trying to avoid the dental profession for more than 40 yrs I believe I will not stay away for that long in the near future.

I have been a patient here for 5+ years and had crowns,fillings and cleanings performed.All work was performed very professional and I have never had a problem. Dr. Elster is an excellent dentist who does Great work. Thanks, Tim.

Yesterday I went in for a dental cleaning, the technician who cleaned by teeth was awesome, but when the dentist came in she never introduced herself, she just came in looked in my mouth barely said anything then going to say after the technician said nice to meet you, she repeats it as she is walking away. She looks in my mouth and say, things looked good and walked out. Her bedside manner was rude and cold. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is due to the technician. Since Dr. Elster is no longer there, i definitely see a change in this practice. I will not be returning due to the inconsistency of this practice. Dr. Elster was so warm and always explained everything even though if i went in for just a cleaning.

I was very impressed with the Dental practice. Everyone was very helpful. We all worked together to obtain my dental plan and work.

My visit to Radiance was very disappointing on two fronts. The quality of my crown has been very disappointing. The crown was not properly aligned so chewing on that side of my mouth is very painful as the upper teeth (tooth) are not properly aligned to the lower teeth. I also have problems with chewing cold foods on that side of my mouth.

I have two other crowns (from other dentists) and do not have these problems.

To make matters worse, Radiance stated that they pre-approved my crown with my insurance company. I actually pre-paid Radiance in full (about $530 or so) before the procedure based on their "pre-authorization".

As it turns out, they pre-authorized and were told by my insurance company that my coverage for a molar was NOT full coverage on a porcelain crown. Of course, Radiance did not tell me this prior to my paying them in full, or prior to the procedure. They did however come back to me for more money AFTER the insurance company denied their claim. Of course - they then turned me over to a collection agency when i told them they needed to be accountable for their mistake.

Avoid these guys at all costs. Poor quality and incompetent administration staff.

Excellent care provided by Stacie the dental hygienist and Denise, Doctors asst. Dr. Johnson is the temporary dentist but is very nice and competent. Good experience!

Fast, nice, up to date, and friendly. Really enjoyed my visit and I didn’t feel pressured into buying other services. Cleaning was great and painless.
