Medley Smiles Family Dentistry

Going to Medley Smiles was a positive experience. When you walk in the receptionist is welcoming. The waiting room is family-friendly with a spot where children can play. I am always apprehensive to how the dental hygienist will be, but she was gentle and explained things to me of what she was doing.. Dr. Medley was super nice and professional. She explained what she found and offered helpful information on what I could do. I felt she really wanted to help me get the best smile- different than another dentist who tried to pressure me to get excessive treatment. That makes me feel positive that this is a good decision to come here.

Dr. Medley is quite literally the best dentist I have ever been to. And her staff is fantastic as well. Everyone is so kind when you walk through the door; they say hi and offer a smile even if they're not working with you directly. Before seeing Dr. Medley I hadn't had access to a dentist since I was 17- I'm 23 now so a long time. Turns out, the dentistry I was going to before (Comfort Dental which is now called something stupid like True Smiles) basically ruined most of my fillings. I have been in pain for YEARS trying to eat because they just messed up my teeth. 12 fillings needed work/to be done in general. Today I had my third appointment with Dr. Medley and she fixed three of my teeth; one of which she told me should have been addressed years ago. The first appointment I had, she repaired a cracked tooth/filling that was hurting so bad I couldn't chew on that side of my mouth when I was eating. She's so efficient when she works it's like watching water flowing- she knows every step she has to take to do her job and she does it with accuracy like it's just second nature. Not to mention she's hilarious and plays good music during your appointment, and can tell when you're anxious- for me, because I've been to several dental offices and had bad experiences before, this is a huge deal because she makes me feel relaxed and I'm not afraid of the dentist anymore! I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who is needing a good local dentist. Her office is also very clean and cute looking because she put in EFFORT decorating the place- walk through the door and you'll see. After years of dealing with mouth pain, I finally have true relief and I cannot thank you enough Dr. Medley and your staff for helping me! I will definitely continue coming back. Thank you again!

This place is absolutely amazing! I went there last night as an emergency walk in because of course, true dental turned me away(even after telling them I was in extreme pain). Anyway, Dr. Medley was able to see me right away. She numbed my mouth for me to give me a few hours of relief and told me my plan of action. Due to my work schedule, I wasn't able to get a fitting appt until the end of the month. Fast forward to today when the pain got even WORSE and I called to see if I could move my appt up to Monday, remembering I'm off work and they said they were completely full, but told me if my antibiotics weren't helping by tomorrow, they would call in a stronger one and regardless of being full or not, Dr. Medley said of my pain is still the same on Monday after antibiotics, she will for sure squeeze me on for my procedure! Absolutely an amazing Dr and 100% patient oriented. I would recommend her to ANYONE and EVERYONE!

I highly recommend this dental office. For the first time in a long time, I look forward to my appointments. Staff are wonderful. If you're searching for a dentist, this is the place.

Not recommended. They put themselves first, not the patient. I prepaid for a huge amount of work just before covid only to have to wait until after they reopened. No complaint there but when I needed to reschedule later due to medical issue they cancelled my appointments and left me in lurch to find new doctor. Not cool.

I just came from an office where when arrived, i went to see the insurance office. After about 15 min i was told. "You have great insurance". All of the sudden i needed $2400 worth of work done. Funny thing is that was my max payout for the year. I said NO THANKS and left. I found this place on google and thought why not. I am SO GLAD. I feel like they actually care about their patients. I did not feel as if i was there because i : HAD GREAT INSURANCE". I will recommend anyone who asks where to go for dental work in the Independence area..

Dr. Medley has been working on my teeth since I was kid she always makes sure that I’m comfortable with whatever I need done she is by far the best dentist I have ever been too I highly recommended her for anyone looking for a dentist and I will be taking my daughter to see her when my daughter gets teeth.

I've been coming here for years and they are THE BEST!

I was terrified of the dentist and yet they make me feel so comfortable. They got me in right away when I was hurting and quickly resolved my issue. You will never meet a nicer or more talented group of people!
