Luckily the ladies up front had gotten me in and treated even when they couldnβt accept walk ins. I had been turned away at multiple ERs, swollen up to my eyes, and in excruciating pain while having panic attacks not knowing if I was going to be helped yet was immediately reassured by Dr. Patel and student Dr. Kole that I was in great hands and they were going to get me back to my old self!! Amazing staff every time Iβve been down there.

Started with my process of removal of all teeth Oct. 2019... I should have been done with all procedures, and a set of dentures by now. Unfortunately, in the middle of having half of my teeth, the right side upper & lower removed, the day before the oral surgeon's department were to start on the left side, Covid-19 shut down everything. Although I have been dealing with months of discomfort, and pain, and anxiety as to when things would open back up, I have been happy with the student dentist, and the staff staying in touch with keeping me as up to date as possible with possible opening dates, or how to contact ER Dept. if I needed it. I appreciate the personal experience I have had with my student dentist, Zach Vogel. He will make a great dentist, or oral surgeon. He has a wonderful "bedside manner", and stays in touch with you, keeping you informed.

Everyone was extremely nice! The emergency service only took 2hrs, from the time I arrived to the time my wisdom tooth was extracted, i am pain free and so happy! I would recommend them for anyone needing emergenct dental assistance!

I called to schedule my first appointment. I did not need an emergency visit. The first question the woman on the phone asked me, was if I was in any pain. I answered, sometimes but not always. She then abruptly said "One Moment", then transferred me to some automated voice telling me about their emergency clinic hours and whatnot. After it finished, it just hung up. She barely spoke to me at all, and didn't ask me any other questions or explain anything. It was rude, cold, and unprofessional. It definitely doesn't encourage me to try again to make an appointment.

I gave 3 stars because the students were very polite and nice, however in my case I am in a lot of pain and I would not recommend going here if youβre in pain because they wonβt operate on you on the same day unless youβre extremely lucky.

If I could give a negative score I would. I took my niece who has special needs there due to her medical card only covers minimal things. We went 4 times and all they managed to do was what had already been done by her dentist, charged her $175. They said if medicare reimburses them they will return her money but I can't even get them on the phone. Sad excuse for somewhere that is supposed to help those in need. Now she is out 175 and not any closer to having the work done she needs.

I had two lower back teeth extracted this morning at their emergency dental clinic. There was a $41.00 service fee and $60 per extraction for a total of $161.00
At a private practice, extractions alone are $100 and up and office visits are certainly more than $41 and x rays aren't included in an office visit. X rays are much more I am sure.
They did an x ray on those teeth and that $41 included the x rays.
I am very satisfied with the service I received and am going back next month for more dental care.
I absolutely recommend UMKC School of Dentistry for their services and their prices.
******* UPDATE*******
4-7-2015...After being a dental patient for 8 months, I have finished all of my dental needs. I am 110% satisfied with my results.I paid well over 50 % less for all I had done that ANY dentist in Kansas City would have charged me. I got many estimates, so I know what I would have paid.My student dentist, Mike Florez is the best dentist I have had in 60 years. He is fantastic and when he graduates next year I want to be one of his first patients.

The way they deal with patients is terrible. I couldn't even get an appointment scheduled for my mother's extractions and dentures. The will ALLWAYS cut you off saying "we're a teeth saving school" they don't even let you explain anything before they transfer you. I got to talk to the supervisor and she was sweet and tried to help. But I got transferred back to the same rude woman and got nowhere. So now me and my mother are going to attempt to walk in and schedule and appointment because I guess that's the only way you can do thinks with these people. Try to find a better place to go than UMCK first. They obviously don't care about new patients.

Horrible Customer Service Agent on the phone on Friday 12/7/2019. The woman was so rude that I couldnβt believe it! She was talking really fast and because I asked her to speak slowly so I could get what she was saying, she lashed out at me. I had to ask her to go home if she wasnβt happy doing her job!
This is by far the worst experience I have had with a customer service representative or receptionist .
The University authorities need to employ the right people for jobs like this. The call is a recorded if anyone cares to address this but I will NEVER use UMKC school of Dentistry if this is how patients are treated.
I wish I could give zero star.
