My newborn needed a lip frenectomy to properly breastfeed. We were able to get an appointment within a week and had the procedure done same time. The doctor was very informative and made sure I understood all aftercare instructions. It was particularly worrisome because covid limited our options. I appreciate that community dental care considered an infant's feeding needs to be an emergency.

Just to let you know that they will work with the VA to get you in and seen ( my experience with the VA free base is a quite different story ) the rest of the VA has been great & community care was awesome the offices are new my chair looked out over the bull pen ..the assistant was all business & ready (seemed highly motivated & intelligent) the dentist was quick and thorough guess that's what good staffing gives you . Directions ,I hadn't been there, for me would have been same building Google sign on , there are steps just down that st . To the police station (&a sign to community care at the top of the steps) I was in the town hall & asked for help

I have now gone here for both of my children to have lip and tongue tie releases done. After attempts to get things done closer to home, I came back to Community Dental Care of Claremont. My twins were evaluated and treated the same day for lip and tongue ties. The staff was great and accommodating as juggling 1 year olds can be quite interesting. They have sheets with after care and videos to watch for demonstrations. Well worth the drive.

Dr. Wehmeyer is fantastic. She was great with my 1.5 year old son and I really appreciated how down to earth and personable she was. My son needed a frenectomy, which she and an assistant did so quickly and well that my son hardly cried and within a minute of having it done he was dancing in the waiting room! When I had a concern on a Sunday afternoon I was able to call her personal number and she promptly responded, setting my mind at ease for the rest of the weekend. Really- this is the kind of medical care you don't seem to find anymore, I'm so glad we were referred to her for his lip tie!
The only downside to Community Dental Care of Claremont is that you have to pay up front and submit your claim to your insurance yourself. We are very fortunate that we were able to afford this, and they did give us what we would need in order to submit the claim- including the envelope, but I know there are many people out there who would not be able to afford the upfront cost. Maybe they have a way to work with families if they are in that situation, though.
