My Dentist - Dr. George Kourakin, DMD

Becky the hygienist is PHENOMENAL! I hadn't been to a dentist in 20 years and had a huge fear of having any dental work done, including cleanings. She was SO GENTLE, so sweet, and so reassuring during the entire procedure (3 appointments total for a deep clean). She explained every thing she was doing, and i cannot stress enough how gentle she was during my cleaning. Dr K was equally as gentle and kind. I cannot recommend this office enough! They were wonderful from check in until check out. Wonderful practice, wonderful employees. 5 stars.

I never write reviews, but for the first time, I felt compelled to write this review based on my appointment with Dr. Kourakin. I had scheduled an appointment for a cleaning and exam, knowing I had 1 cavity that my former dentist , who just retired, made me aware of. In this visit with Dr. Kourakin, he told me I had 6 cavities. This surprised me, as my former dentist had only ever mentioned 1. I decided to go to another dentist to get another opinion, as I could not understand how I went from having 1 cavity to 6 from one dentist to another. At my new dentist, they reassured me, that I only have 1 cavity and that to say I had 6 was inaccurate. Dr. Kourakin tried to do excessive and unnecessary dental work, and was going to charge me over 500 $ (with insurance) for all of these fillings that I did not even need. I recommend finding somewhere else that is more professional and honest.

After suffering from depression for a few years I really lost touch with taking care of myself. Recently my back tooth broke and it caused me so much pain and anxiety. I had not been to Dr. K’s office since 2006 and I called on a whim hoping he’d take me back as a patient, I got an emergency appt. the very next day. I can’t thank him or his staff enough for taking care of me even with the pandemic going on. Everything was pain free and he was very kind to my situation. I did not feel judged or like I was a bother like I did at my other dentist, he gave me options to choose from, and they even helped me with insurance issues. I plan on getting some other teeth fixed up in a few weeks. For the first time in a long time I see the light at the end of the tunnel and I’m excited to get my smile back. Thank you Dr. Kourakin and your team for the judge free, pain free care. ❤️

I came to Dr. K as an emergency case on New Year’s Eve of 2020 (going into 2021). It was just himself and the receptionist in that day, but he was still able to take care of my issue. He made sure I was good and numb before he started working on my tooth. I felt no pain (except my lips kept drying out. Bring chap stick) I didn’t have insurance at the time and I was expecting the bill to be pretty steep. I was happily surprised when paid the Bill. My teeth are a train wreck because I never had a dentist that I liked. I am happy now to say that Dr. K is “My Dentist”!

Set up cleanings for my son & I. They were nice enough but it didn’t feel right. Was told of all this work I needed. I am a faithful dental patient so this was concerning. After my sons cleaning, same thing (6 cavities). Found another dentist and none of the work was needed!! I almost had 2 crowns redone plus other work!!! Must also note, the office needs updating. And I was with the same dentist happily for 30 years but he sold his practice.

Truly an amazing practice!! The staff here is so nice and understanding. I have a terrible fear regarding anything with dental work, but they made the experience more than just tolerable. The staff is so incredibly nice and understanding. I definitely recommend this dentist to everyone I know in need of one.

Awesome staff all around, professional, courteous and pleasant. Easily the best experience I've ever had at a dentists office.Doctor Kourakin has been doing this for a long time and it shows. I no longer hate going to the dentist, I just dislike it.

Visited Dr. Kourakin for the very first time when I took my nephew to see him, and I have to say it was a great pleasure. From the moment we stepped in the office we were greeted nicely. We did not have to wait long, as Brenda who was very pleasant walked us back to the room. We met Dr.Kourakin who was also very pleasant. Loved the way he took care of my nephew who is terrified of any dentist office. I will recommend this Dentist office to anyone. As I will keep coming back myself.

Before seeing Dr. Kourakin I was really afraid of going to the dentist. I hadn't gone to the dentist in about 30 years. My wife told me to come see him and he did an amazing job. I wished that I came here earlier.

I was vacationing in Sea Isle New Jersey and broke a front tooth while eating crab. I am from Illinois and we still had half a week left in our vacation. I Googled Dentists near me and found Dr. Kourakin with high ratings. There was another Dentist closer to my location but the reviews were not very good so I chose Dr. Kourakin and was glad I did. The front desk administrator was exceptional and very helpful. She contacted my Insurance Company to make sure my emergency visit would be covered and was able to get me in that day. Dr. Kourakin was able to fix my tooth and there was absolutely no pain involved. He did an excellent job and sent me home with my X-rays for my regular Dentist to review. The staff was professional and kind. Everyone was so nice and helpful. They made it possible for me to enjoy the second half of my vacation. I am grateful and would recommend his services.
