We chose this office (My Dentist Joplin,MO) due to our dental insurance but we’ll never return. It all felt like a scam operation.
The staff was friendly and the office was very nice, clean and organized although you felt a little like cattle being herded through. All the cleaning chairs were basically side by side, not in rooms, so you could hear other patient/hygienist/dentist conversations.
The dental hygienist was very nice, efficient and did a great job with our cleanings but this was where things began to change. The dentist comes in and reviews our X-rays and looks at our teeth and then leaves. We arrive at the front desk to check out and they’re suddenly wanting to schedule future appointments for our cavities - I supposedly have a couple of cavities to be filled and hubby, who’s NEVER HAD A CAVITY IN HIS LIFE, supposedly has 6! He says no way, I want to see the X-rays and you point them out to me. Well they kind of hem & haw and try to point out a few areas but we say no to scheduling any appointments.
We’ll lo and behold we go to a new dentist next time for our cleanings & checkup and guess what? Neither of us has ANY cavities or issues.
I’m giving 1 star in order to create the review and the cleaning was good.

I went to My Dentist a couple days ago and was very impressed. I moved here from NC a few weeks ago and decided to try them. The staff was super friendly and the dentist, hygienist and techs were all professional and considerate. The facility was clean, even the music was was good! I highly recommend you give them a try!!

Yet another great experience at My Dentist. All the staff always does their very best to make you feel comfortable. My procedure was quick and easy. I recommend My Dentist to anyone that doesn’t feel comfortable with dental visits.

The dental hygienist was very nice. I was super nervous not going to a dental appointment in years. She made me comfortable showed me the plan and what she would be doing. The dentist came in super nice guy too. Showed me what he wanted to do and why. I felt like i was in control of what was going on and actually understood what they were doing so it was a very very good experience.

Crystal was excellent.
Second hygenist needs more training:
1. Tie your hair back - it fell in my face twice with my mouth open!
2. I really don't need constant running commentary about your personal life.
3. Have your dental tools ready before starting a procedure. I'm sitting with gunk in my mouth while your looking for tools & water. Ugh.
I know you were nervous and learning, but this was bad.

I've gone here many times over the last several years and although I have no complaints about the tooth extractions they've provided, I am incredibly displeased with the service and will not be back. They have habitually rescheduled appointments on me the day of said appointment, after I had waited- with tooth pain- for over a month. Today I was got in for an emergency extraction because I'm in severe pain (I obviously don't go to the dentist like I should) and they said they needed Xrays first to determine if i needed an extraction. Money hungry! They should have told me on the phone!! I always schedule a follow up appointment to do Xrays after an extraction because I intend to go, I'm just scared and end up not going. I end up paying them about $600 for an extraction every couple years. Terrible service.

Great place, Crystal is a rockstar. Extremely nice, remembers everything, puts you at ease. If you need a cleaning ask for her, she is great.
