Smile Today Dentistry of Nutley

My first experience with Smile Today is when I called to schedule an appointment. I was greeting by phone by a pleasant receptionist, she scheduled my appointment and asked for my email address to complete my paperwork. She gave my step by step instructions on how to fill it out and was told at the end “there will be no need to print it out, once it is completed, we will receive it.” A couple of days later, walked into the office of Smile Today with the fear of dentist, but not so scared because of my over the phone experience. I was called my by name and was told that my paperwork had been received and all I needed to do was take a profile picture. I was called in for my appointment shortly after by my hygienist, who was the most pleasant ever! She was kind, gentle and very informative! All I could say was “WOW, this isn’t so bad!” While I wiped the sweat off of my forehead. Shortly after, I was greeted by the most pleasant doctor with the biggest smile and most assertive handshake from such a little lady. Dr. Pilar was so informative, she answered all of my questions and concerns, but most of all she and her staff made me feel comfortable.

What can I say, everyone at Smile Today is pure joy. From the person that made my appointment, to the Dr and everyone in between. What a great facility! I felt a little un-easy going inside, due to Covid but once I arrived at the office, those thoughts were put at ease. The office is clean and they have air purifiers in the lobby and exam rooms. I also had my temperature and my pulse ox taken when I arrived.

Update: I just had another apt with Dr. Pilar, and like the first visit she and the staff did not disappoint. I wanted to add to the above review today because, I was so impressed and grateful with Dr. Pilar. As Dr. Pilar was working on my tooth, I began to feel some pain. Dr. Pilar noticed my discomfort, and before I even said a word, she went ahead and gave me a little more numbing, to make me comfortable again. That is the type of excellent care you get at Smile Today. Thank you so much!

I always have a great experience here and going to the dentist has never been my idea of a good time! My hygienist is always thorough, answers any questions I have, and has helped me to better my oral routine/keep my teeth healthy. Dr. Pilar has a great manner and is very knowledgable. I have recommended this practice to many members of my family. My husband and I have been patients for years.

I always have a pleasant experience every time I’m here but today I got exceptional customer service from Yeli! I have an impacted wisdom tooth and since they don’t do wisdom teeth extraction Yeli took the time to help me find other offices that do wisdom teeth extractions ASAP bc it really started to hurt me. I didn’t even come in person, this was all through the phone and she was super helpful and patient. Definitely recommend Smile Today, the staff is super nice, caring, and helpful!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Pilar’s since she opened the practice. She’s very friendly and professional. She explains everything to you and is very knowledgeable. She’s easy to talk with and will answer any questions. The dental hygienists are proficient, friendly and gentle. The clinic is very clean and they have a great protocol in place in regards to Covid. There’s little to no waiting time and that’s fantastic. I definitely recommend Dr. Pilar. You won’t be disappointed.

I had a major dental procedure done at Smile Today - six crowns on my front teeth! Dr. Gezgin was so helpful through the entire process, explaining and answering questions as we went. She was receptive to anything I mentioned and she took the time needed to do a job well done. She and Heather made me feel so comfortable throughout all of the processes, some of which took nearly three hours! The whole office is pleasant, and the staff members are welcoming and always smiling. It was a great experience and I am absolutely thrilled with my new teeth!!!!

Great practice. Clean, friendly and comforting. Everything you want from your Dentist! Me and my family have been coming to Dr. Pilar for years. She and her staff are wonderful. Highly recommend!

Best dental office I’ve ever been to. All of the staff are so friendly and efficient. The hygienists and doctors are careful, attentive, and great at what they do. The office is a bit of a drive but I will continue to make the trips because the people are great.

The services that I receive from Dr.Pilar is excellent. I have periodontal disease two years back but under her treatment I come out from this problem and now my gum and teeth are more healthier than before , Thanks Dr. Pilar and the staff for take care of my teeth health and care.
